House Dinaari Quaestor Report #34 - February 8, 2009

Greetings all,

It has been a while since my last report mainly due to the DJB website being down. Now that the site is back up and running in a stable condition (for now) we can get back to regular business. Lots of interesting stuff has been happening as we draw closer to the Great Jedi War. The other Clans are becoming more bold in their statements about bringing us down and some random Consul went emo and had his dossier deleted. Oh boy!

The Great Jedi War is official on for March 1st and will last about six weeks. This date is for real and unless the website goes down again be ready to put in as much activity as you can. The Clan Summit will keep you well informed via e-mail as details are released from the Dark Council. I hear this particular Vendetta will focus more on quality than quantity but since we rock at both it shouldn't be too much of a problem. Enjoy three weeks more of vacation and be ready to kick some emo ass.

Speaking of emo-related business, the Consul of Clan Scholae Palatinae went nuts and had his dossier deleted. Lucien was always a bit crazy but when you start banning the Deputy Grand Master multiple times on IRC among other things, yeah you've snapped. Anyway, we shouldn't have to suffer his stupidity anymore unless he comes back - luckily he'll be a lowly Apprentice if he chooses that route so that's somewhat of a relief. The other Clans are falling apart already ... good stuff!

Now why would you care if some idiot left the DJB? Well, the latest edition of our Clan newsletter, the Taldryan Times, is set to be released on March 1st. That means we need submissions! Quotes, funny pictures, stories, articles making fun of idiots like Lucien, etc. We want your submissions! Send your submissions to myself, Pole, Vodo, and Duga as the latter two are in charge of TT related items. This should be a really good one so be sure to write something up and be a part of it!

There wasn't a big announcement about it but we have a new Battleteam Leader - congratulations to Corax "Baron" Zarjin as he now takes over the reigns of Dark Fire Brigade. His job will be to help our Journeymen get every point they can in the upcoming Great Jedi War. Also, just a quick notice to our newer members ... that idiot Nihilus got booted out of our Clan ... he changed his name on IRC and apparently is trying to start up a new club so he can be Supreme Overlord Emperor whatever. If he approaches you just set him on ignore or tell him to piss off. Be sure to inform any member of the Summit if you're approached by anyone who tries to recruit your services to anything non-Taldryan related.

I'm most likely going to run a competition before the GJW starts. It won't be anything big ... just something small as I will be handing out merit medals before the Vendetta begins to reward active members for the last few months worth of activity. Then we have the GJW in which awards will be handed out again at its conclusion. Finally, I will be retiring as Quaestor on April 30th - this allows me to submit my final ATR and take care of any post-GJW business so my successor doesn't have to deal with it. Applications will probably open up immediately following the conclusion of the GJW so if you're interested in leadership you may want to start thinking about applications and showing awesome amounts of activity before the announcement. Just something to keep in mind ...
