As I'm sure you all know, the site has been on and off a lot... but the Wiki has, for the most part, stayed strong.

It's been awhile since my last report. The holiday season was pretty crazy for me, and now school and everything else is kicking me around. I'm closing in on eight months as Wiki Tribune. That's a pretty long time.

CATEGORY:PROMINENT MEMBERS:

After some discussion, the Staff has decided to delete Category:Prominent Members because it does a) does not serve any real purpose, b) is almost entirely subjective, and c) I think that it is redundant. If their names are "instantly recognizable", certainly people could just search for them.

DJBWIKIPEDIAN OF THE ...:

In case you didn't have a chance to see who the DJBWikipedian of the Month is for the month of January yet, it is Shadow Taldrya. Congrats!

On that note, the Wiki Staff has decided to make the "DJBWikipedian of the Month" award into the "DJBWikipedian of the Season." This award will be given every three months. Therefore, Shadow is actually the "DJBWikipedian of Spring" (teehee).

Top Ten Wiki Reminders

Use the Show Preview button as many times as you need

Use the Save Page button once per session

Put in a category - whether for an image or the article, and make sure it exists, don't make something up.

If you upload an image, use it right away, otherwise it will be deleted if found in the Unused File bin.

Don't double redirect. That is, if you change your name, change it everywhere it's listed instead of having a number of redirects.
