Phoenix Phyle Report #19

So, me again!!

And now’s the time the awards for the GJW start coming out!! As I’m sure you’ve all seen in Sid’s report, Phoenix did rather well for placings in the GJW, and several of our members picked up Nova’s for their efforts, so congrats to the following:

Vardar: Gold Nova for 1st place in Legends; Silver Nova for 2nd place in Skirmish I; Silver Nova for 2nd place in Adept Killers; Gold Nova for 1st place in ‘In Whose Favour’

Alanna: Gold Nova for 1st place in Helpless; Silver Nova for 2nd place in Instruction

Erinyes: Silver Nova for 2nd place in Contingencies I

Lokasena: Silver Nova for 2nd place in Contingencies I

And then there’re the more exciting rewards that I’ve been looking forward to! Now I didn’t get a chance to add my penny’s worth to the reccs for these, so you get to read some of what I would have said now! Hell.. it’s another chance to tell you guys how fab I think you’ve all been!

First and foremost, Vardar, hearty congrats on your promotion to Sith Battlelord. I don’t think anyone would argue that it is more than deserved. As I said to you before, while I’ve seen a few members over the years who have managed to hit your level of activity for a short period of time, I can’t recall anyone who has managed to keep it up for even a fraction of the time you have. You are an absolute superstar, a delight to have in the Phyle, and one of those people that you know if they say they’re going to do something, it’ll get done in half the time you expect. Well done hun, on your graduation from ‘Ickle Pixie’ to ‘Fully fledged Pixie’ 

Erinyes, congrats on achieving your fourth Dark Cross, earned many times over in my eyes! You’re one of those fantastic members that you know will always be there, willing to pull every trick out of the book to find the right one, and you did it again this time! Despite RL trying to hamper your style, you were once more a shining example of activity, and I can’t thank you enough for all the effort you put in!

Alanna, well, what do you do to say thank you to a girl who’s been there and done it all before? You know we could not have done it without you, and you know you’ve been an absolute hero through all of this (even if you won’t admit it!!). Congrats on your Steel Cross, well deserved just for resurrecting the ewoks in the ACC….I still say it should’ve been you and Arania battling it out for 1st in the event just for that one epic battle! Without you, the Dark Brotherhood would be a darker (or should that be lighter?) place.

Sena, thank you for keeping me sane! Your Anteian Cross is well and truly deserved. Your fictions were a delight to read, and knowing you were there as your usual dependable self made my job a hell of a lot easier. I can’t tell you how long it’s been since I enjoyed reading a run-on so much, and I really am looking forward to all the character development I know is coming….bring it on!!!

Simply put, you guys have all been brilliant over the course of the GJW, I don’t mind saying that in recent years I was worried Phoenix was loosing her sparkle, but you have all proven that I shouldn’t have doubted you, and have done so with such panache that you truly did manage to leave me speechless. To be honest, the fact that Tally didn’t take number one this time around is irrelevant, you have all shown what it means to be in Taldryan, the support and encouragement has been fantastic, and before this turns into something akin to an Oscars acceptance speech I’m going to shut up and just say this.

Thanks guys, you really have made me proud :D
