Well, welcome everyone to my first report as Combat Master. I'll start off by saying thanks to Muz and Paladin for appointing me - I hope I live up to their expectations for the job, as well as all of yours. Also, big thanks to Halc and Dalthid for keeping the place running during the GJW, and all the work they've done in the past developing and refining the ACC system. Thanks to them and others, I've got a great foundation to work from, and I definitely appreciate it.

Staff News

-Halc and Dalthid have finally gotten sick of us and resigned from the ACC staff. Big thanks for all their efforts over the past while.

-With Halc and Dalthid outgoing, I'm the new CM (obviously). The two remaining ACC staff members have both gotten promoted up - Tsainetomo from Trainer to Deputy Combat Master and Shikyo from Trainer to Operator.

-Manji Keibatsu Sadow has rejoined the ACC Staff as an Operator. Manji's been around the ACC forever, having been on staff since before I first joined them in 2005. He's a great resource, and I'm looking forward to having him work with us.

-At the moment, I'm not taking applications for new staff members. The reason for this is because the ACC Staff are reviewing the current way of judging battles, and rather than hire people into not knowing what's going on, I want to finish that so we have solid ground to train people on. Also, I'm going to be looking at changing the way the ACC Staff operates (not changing the positions, just their roles), and I figure it would be nice for applicants to know what they're going to be doing when they apply for the job.

Operations News

-The main Combat Centre hall is going to be re-opening for battles within the next week. I'll be putting an announcement out when that happens so ya'll can get back to merrily whacking away at each other.

-The ACC Initiates course has been revised for the new character sheets and submitted to Aabsdu and Taigikori for review and posting on the SA site. Please note that the course is not closed - I will still be grading any submissions that come in between now and the new course being posted.

-One of my goals in the next three months is to bring back the ACC Championships. I'll be giving regular updates on that, so stay tuned!
