Greetings Cestus,

I hope everyone has had a very good week; there is a great deal of activities abound with more on the way as Cestus continues grow and strengthen itself. Talking about growing and strengthening, I would like “tip my hat” to Bachatta and Tier-Avis. As some of you have heard, Huldrych re-instated the “Fist of Cestus” journeyman activity competition. Bachatta and Tier-Avis were so active and accomplished so much that it made it impossible for the summit to choose one, so congrats to our first “Fist(s) of Cestus”. Remember that this open for all journeymen, so you Apprentice’s and Novice’s I challenge you.

Brotherhood News:

Recruitment – We are in the midst of another recruiting drive which includes a full-page add in the DragonCom progress report, this and other forms of visibility as in social-networking sites (MySpace, etc) can generate hits for us.

Website Changes – If you haven’t noticed, the site has gone through some visual updates. In addition to that, new robes & weapons have been made available to journeymen to give a better feel to the site. So, if you start seeing a Novice with a rifle in their dossier, you know why. Other changes include the administration page what had its layout revamped.

Shadow Academy “Grind Path” – This is an attempt to get new journeymen through a system that will use automation through a select numbers of Shadow Academy courses to teach them how the DJB operates. Its goal is to stifle the flow of journeymen leaving the DJB at APP and increase retention rates.

Independent Houses – Members may now petition to have a new independent house created. If these new houses are successful and grow, they may grow into clan status. However at the same time, existing clan may be reduced to house status if not enough members remain to justify a clan.

Clan-Level Competition: [Tarentum] Eccentric Eulogy

A known member of Tarentum has passed away. In a somber memorial service held by the clan, you have been requested to present a eulogy praising this member. However, there is always the possibility of your words not quite being up to expectations when it comes to paying tribute. Perhaps this was a Tarenti you did not get along with, or a Tarenti you were secretly in love with, or a Tarenti you found to be just plain weird. What do you expose? Will this eulogy erupt into a complete ranting or raving or

into a blubbering mess? You decide!

Whether in fiction, script, or simple monologue form, write at least half a page detailing your eulogy of this clan member. The goal is to give it a little twist, something unexpected, strange, or downright comical. Awards will be given based on creativity, entertainment value, and of course, honesty. And remember; only the judge will get to see these submissions!

*House News: *

Recruitment – Everyone in the house has the ability to recruit someone to the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. It may start with a casual conversation of star wars which is a great lead in to the club. As well the use of social-networking sites; someone may notice the Dark Jedi Brotherhood on your page and click it.
