Hello again, Jade Serpents!

Firstly, the shiny banner at the top of this report (assuming it works and I don’t mess up the HTML) is courtesy of Manji Keibatsu. You should all go tell him how awesome it is and how impressed you are that he threw it together in five minutes while I wrote this.

Well, there’s been an awful lot going on since I last spoke to you all – promotions, medals, an AWOL check.. First thing to mention is the AWOL check, I guess - anyone who has looked at the roster lately (or read Krandon’s email, I guess..) will have seen that we have some spaces free. I’d imagine they’ll get filled at some point with some lovely new people, but I’ll let you know so you can welcome them and make them feel at home.

NEWS AND COMPETITIONS

News... Well, we have a new clan ACC Trainer: Macron. Having only recently qualified myself, I know only of his ACC reputation, but I encourage anyone who is wanting to get qualified or just has a question about how it works to drop him a line and ask.

Moving on to competitions, Fractured Mirror’s second week is looming large on the horizon. A few days left to get those entries in.

If you can’t bring yourself to click on it, you’re missing out on(among other things) a fiction competition where you must save the Chief of State, Fred the Seal from the Yuuzhan Vong. If you haven’t heard of Fred the Seal, I suggest you look it up on the Wiki or ask our esteemed Consul. Suffice to say, I’ll be entering that one, if only to bask in Fred’s reflected glory. :D

Another thing I should point out: the Jade Serpents have their own special mission for this week! It’s called Special Ops and all four of the clan’s battleteams are competing.

‘While the evacuation of the Marakith Skyhook begins the I’friil corvette analog Will of the Gods arrives led by subaltern Neira Tor. Tor has released numerous fire breathers to burn the forests and boil the lakes of Aeotheran.’

There’s a fiction competition, a graphic competition and for those of us like myself are pretty artistically challenged, a screenshot competition. If we beat the other three battleteams, we will earn the right to call ourselves the Consul’s Own, which is a pretty big honour. The chance to do this only comes round every so often. It also means that I’ll get bragging rights over Fremoc, BTL of the Night Raptors, which is obviously just as important. :P

PROMOTIONS AND ACHIEVEMENTS

This week has been pretty busy, which is always nice to see.

Ulfsark was promoted from Novice to Acolyte, so congratulations!

Jinius was promoted too, from Acolyte to Protector! Congratulations are especially in order because Jinius is also now a Magistrate to the Seneschal.

In the Shadow Academy, Ulfsark passed the Training Saber course, well done there!

We also bagged a fair amount of shiny things for our respective dossiers, mostly Seals of Unity. For our contributions during the last Great Jedi War, I got 6, Dismal got 3 and Krandon got an impressive 13.

In addition to everything else, Jinius also got a Crescent with an Emerald Star for getting second place in the Sadow Training competition. Well done again, Jinius!

In happy and unrelated news, my exams are nearly over, so from this weekend on, I’ll be on IRC and entering competitions much more often. Hurray! I’m sure you all missed my inspiring presence. Right?
