Greetings Marka Ragnos!!!! A lot is going on at the moment so let’s go take a look at what you can get your feet into.

  So the story has been released a while ago and more recently the run down of how things are working with it, but incase you missed the email here is how it’s going to work for a bit of extra stuff.  

  Things you do within the DB are going to get you some personalized "coins." Each coin has a fictional value and a real value so to speak. fictionally when you are out getting a drink at the bar, the one who pulls out he highest coin will not have to pay but the one with the lowest coin does has to pay. Real so to speak.  When you gain these coins you can get stuff with them.  This stuff can be anything from a lower level promotion within the DoR (of course this will still need a higher ranking coin) to robes and weapons that you can place on your wiki.    It is my hope that we will be able to further the use of these weapons but that will become clearer in time.  

Now how do you get these coins? Simple, by doing things within the DB. enter a competition and receive a medal you get a coin. Get a merit award, get a coin, get a leadership position get a coin. Get promoted you get a coin. Take on the MSP get a coin. when you are in a leadership position like QUA/AED/BTL you have a coin that you can give away when people do something for you. So if they help you to design something or say fictionally they help you out, you can give them this coin.

So obviously the higher the rank you are the higher the coin. However Leadership positions will out weigh these coins.

House Competitions

  So there are a couple house competitions ending soon, those being to come up with a new motto and to come up with a weapon for your House.   The apples to Apples game is also coming up so look forward to the date on that.  

  As for the other competitions an email was recently sent out with all the competitions currently out there so go look at that or the competitions main page!  

  Also if you want to run a House competition feel free to come to myself, Zaxen with your plan so we can get it up and running.  

RUN ON

Night Raptors have been busy with coming up with various things for their team. I am proud of their accomplishments. Night Hawks has been rather quiet lately though I know they are working on a few things. Both teams have until the beginning of August to get a promotional video out, so look for these to come soon!!!

Meet the Fockers

As you have probably seen we are getting to know our House Mates. This past week we had two brave souls reach out and tell us all about them, those being Bal and Valorian. The next set will be out tonight. If you whish to take part drop me a line. I have already heard from a few of you which is awesome!!! Here are the last two responses incase you didn’t see them before:

First off is Bal Demona:

 I'm a 22 year old (turning 23 in December) from Lincoln, NE.  Stand at about 6' and about 270 pounds thanks to weight lifting and high school football LOL.  Grew up in Palisade, NE, a town of about 400 and out somewhat in the middle of nowhere.  Moved to McCook, then Geneva, then York and finally here to Lincoln.  My parents were Andrew and Terri Anderson and, when I was seven, my dad died.  Mom remarried when I was teen and divorced later when I was twenty-one.    

 I attended Wauneta-Palisade Elementary School, then moved to Geneva and attended Fillmore Central Middle and High School.  After graduation, I went on to attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for a time and majored in Computer Science but then to History, but had to quit due to mom's divorce and the new fiscal situation.  After a while, landed my current job as a cashier at a grocery store.    

  Been dating my fiancee Kristin for about a year and been engaged about a month.  Got a baby on the way (she's about three months along, due January 19th :D)  She wants to know if it's gonna be a boy or girl (I'm bettin' on a boy, but that's me.)  Plan on getting married sometime before the baby comes, but don't know when quite yet.  She works as a call center rep for Verizon Wireless.   

  The DB was introduced to me by some friends online and, since they were part of it and spoke quite highly of it, I decided to join up.  Deciding to give it a shot, I threw myself into it as often as I could, I liked the people, the competition and the general camraderie that the houses, the clans and the Brotherhood in general offers to someone. The level of friendly competition is high and offers chances for advancement for better performance in competitions (and bragging rights for some :D)  Overall, it's just the atmosphere that the people create and the friends that you can make that keeps me comin' back for more.

And second is Valorian:

  I discovered the DB in August of last year. I've known Joseem for years; as you may (or may not) be aware, we're both seriously into digital art and animation, and he'd been producing a lot of work related to Star Wars and Dark Jedi. It looked like a lot of fun. I've always been a Star Wars fan, though not heavily into the Extended Universe and novels, but the organization and activities within the DB were appealing. Right around Dragon*Con 2008 I joined; I've been attending Con for seven years straight, and although I've never met up with the Brotherhood yet, I'm looking forward to it in 2009.   

  In real life, I'm a professional graphic designer and web developer working in Cincinnati, Ohio. I'm also a freelance digital artist, although I enjoy my "real" career enough to keep art a side interest; I prefer to work with friends and pick challenging, fun projects - like much of what the Brotherhood offers. :)   

Anyway, that's me. I'm having a blast here and looking forward to more. Hope to see plenty of you at Con!

QUA Challenge

Right now the first month of the QUA challenge has begun! Your task is to do more SA Mavens then the QUA. Now I only have a few more to do so it is possible. However any ties will be used by having extra SA courses as the tie breakers. If you win this competition you will get the chance at the one in2 times a year to be the Preator to the QUA. It will last one month, where you will get to do some leadership as well as get the chance to have a more one in one say in some house business.

  So get out there and do those SA courses!!!  

In closing

  Wow it does come to an end! Lol  There is a lot out there to do, so get out and do it!
