As he was looking over the plans for the new clan headquarters, Dante began to get a headache. The more he went over them, the stronger the pain became until the Proconsul finally put the designs down and plopped down in one of his comfortable chairs that filled the conference room. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a bottle of pills which he then promptly opened and poured a few drugs into his mouth. As he washed them down with a mug of ale, he flipped on the vidscreen. The old warrior began browsing to see what was worth watching for a few minutes while the pain killers to take effect.

More and more news was being dedicated to their campaign against the Cause operatives. Someone had to be bankrolling them, but intelligence hadn't been able to prove anything yet on the suspected cabal behind the domestic terrorists. The current program was a retrospective on House Caliburnus which had suffered major losses and had to be closed after a brutal suicide attack had managed to lay waste to the House's headquarters complex.

As he watched the program, Dante pondered what Thran had in store for them now that he had returned from one of his "pilgrimages" that he took occasionally. Only time would tell...

News

1) House Caliburnus was closed due to low activity (ICly due to the Cause sneaking a bomb into the house HQ), and its members were dispersed between Houses Dorimad Sol and Acclivis Draco. I hope everyone is making the transition quite comfortably into their new quarters, and I know that both House summits are attempting to make it as painless as possible.

2) Ric “Blade” Hunter will be stepping down as HDS Quaestor on 15 August. He has done an excellent job within HDS for the pasty couple of years, and he will continue to be one of our “go to” guys for graphics in the future as he will remain in HDS as a member.

3) The next major DJB-wide competition has already been announced as Rite of Supremacy VI: Spoils of War, and it will begin in January 2010.

4) The Loremaster (T:F Eludajae) is seeking assistant loremasters from each clan. If you’re interested in the position, please email Thran and I.

5) If you’re interested in making a contribution to the clan’s military, please email me as I am in need of a second in command for the legions. Cool fictional rewards will be your reward as well as possible shineys for good efforts.
