RevengeX knocked at the office door, then peered in. The Quaestor was sitting at the large mahogany desk that the Falleen had felt it necessary to procure, for no apparent reason. Some said he was compensating for something, others said he used the desk for purposes other than working.

“RevengeX, come in. Do sit down.”

Kalak stood up and waved at the two leather armchairs by the fireplace.

“Sherry?”

“Yes please.”

The Falleen drew the stopper from the decanter and poured two generous glasses before replacing the stopper and handing a glass to RevengeX.

“RevengeX, I’ve asked to meet because a creation of yours has gone awry and I’m in the process of fixing it. The Order of the Dragon has two members. Everyone else has run off to the other clans or to ‘their own personal study’. From what I hear, the Brotherhood will be going through some tough times, and if I make the wrong decisions, I could bring down this House. I need advisors, planners and people I can trust. I need people who can help Acclivis Draco train in times of peace, and take the fight to the enemy in times of war. I’d like you to be the third member.”

RevengeX sat back, took a large sip of his sherry and thought for a few seconds.

“Very well, I accept.”

Ric, the Quaestor of that other house in CSP that no-ones heard has resigned. The good news is he’s staying with CSP. The bad news is that he’s staying with HDS. :P

Thran and Dante have released reports. Do you want a commission in the CSP military? If so, email Dante. Thran’s got some pretty interesting stuff in his, in particular, mention of an economy. Wait for Alistair Darling to email Thran for advice. :P

Last time, I talked about being active, and participating a lot. This week, I’d just like to add that there are two ingredients to a great DJB mix. One is activity, the other is fun. You can’t have just one, you have to have both. We want you to have fun being active, or be active having fun. If you aren’t having fun, email me and tell me why. If you can’t be active, email me and tell me why. There are simple remedies to these problems.

We all have lives, this is just a place we retreat to, where we all share a love of Star Wars. Enjoy it.

Home front

A quiet, relaxed summer has rejuvenated me. The antics of Gordon Brown’s deputies have been causing frequent hilarity, and we’re holding our breath to see the outcome of the Harman v Mandelson feud.

Speaking of Lord Mandelson, someone I was speaking yesterday on IRC compared Mandelson to Kir. Mandelson tells Brown to go to bed, Kir tells Muz to go to bed. Joy!

I’ve been catching up on my reading and enjoying the warm weather.

And in other news, Dorimad Sol’s cloning efforts were halted after Phoenix got his head stuck in the photocopier. J
