Hello Serpents!

It’s Feud time! I don’t know about you guys, but I’m pretty excited about it. The Powers That Be have put together an awesome story for us and the events are really good fun. I’ve entered some already and I intend to enter more before this week is out.

NEWS AND COMPETITIONS

Our beloved Consul, Bob had to step down last week due to computer problems beyond his control. Its a crying shame, cause Bob is an awesome bloke and he was doing a pretty good job. Our next Consul has some pretty big whiskey-stained boots to fill. There’s no word yet on who has gotten the position – but applications ended the other day. I’d imagine there will be an email soon.

The other big news is the Feud, of course. If you’ve missed all news about it, I’m impressed, because Xanos was sending out daily story updates for a while there. The basic premise is we were completely stomped by the remnants of the Yuuzhan Vong and it was some kind of inside job. At the moment, if you look at the run on, I just made an epic post, describing yours truly and you guys too, hunting down a traitorous Vong agent. If you’d like to join in the run on, just make a post - every competition you enter gets our House participation points. And what do points mean? Bragging rights! If we beat Marka Ragnos and win the House Feud, we get to be nice and smug for a good long while.

PROMOTIONS AND ACHIEVEMENTS

Since we last spoke, Shug Bogen has passed Starfighter Studies and Astronomy, Cheeto passed DB Basics, I passed a leadership exam and Marcus got a Cluster of Fire! Not too shabby.

As far as the Feud goes, I’ve yet to see any entries from you guys, but I have posted in the run on, done the crossword, signed up for both ACC ladders and I’m working on a fiction and graphics entry as I write. Think you can do better than me? Get involved, have some fun and try and put me to shame.

As a real life related aside, your oh-so-lovely Sergeant is moving to a whole new country in a couple weeks, as part of her uni course. Moving to Germany is a terrifying prospect for me, so feel free to start wishing me heaps of luck/sacrificing small animals to eldritch gods for me around about now. However, my paralysing fear of actually talking to German people in German means I’m liable to be hiding behind a computer screen a lot more once I actually get there – you don’t get rid of me that easy.

In short: The Feud is awesome, go do the Feud. Then tell Xanos that it’s awesome, so he keeps doing them for us. (And if you have spare time, sacrifice a couple virgins for me.)
