Introduction to Clan Arcona

Shadow Clan,

It is my distinct honor to serve as your Proconsul. I know many qualified individuals applied for this position and I am flattered to be chosen to this post. I look forward to working with each member, the revered Arconae and my fellow leaders.

For those of you whom do not know me, I am Dark Adept Braecen Kaeth. I have served the Brotherhood in numerous roles over a period of multiple years. Two of those leadership tenures were served as Consul in Scholae Palatinae & Plagueis; experience that will help me with this new role within Arcona. Experience I hope to share with our current leaders and those whom seek a future in leadership.

To best explain my objectives, I want to share a portion of my application with all of you:

My Aim

I hope to instill some of my values, as a leader, into the Clan. My day job is based on behavior management and I bring that skill set with me to the Brotherhood. I am not going to over analyze metrics such as % of Journeymen that make it to Dark Jedi Knight. Instead, I am going to evaluate our leader’s actions to ascertain that they are in line with the vision established by the Consul. The same will go for additional tasks of leadership: engagement, opportunity and training.

Essentially, my creed: There are no problems, only opportunities.

My values: To unleash the power of our people. To serve with respect, humility and integrity. Learn from challenge and change. Have fun, while being the best.

My core philosophies: To serve the members. To apply innovative ideas from every source, so long it helps stimulate the clan. Uphold the Golden Rule as my standard of conduct.

I am not asking leaders to become carbon-copies, but I am going to challenge them – in one form or another – to engage their members, give their people opportunities to excel and train those whom seek to grow. My strength is in mentorship and development and I can make them, and the members they interact with, stronger in the fundamentals of the Brotherhood.

Conclusion

I am not going to revolutionize how Clan Arcona operates. In fact, I am looking forward to the fact that a rich tradition and immense amount of lore exists within the clan. My hope is to stream-line what we currently possess, clarify any ambiguity and dig in deep with the mentorship aspect of the clan. Should Strategos wish to focus on project/competition development, I will acquit myself to handling the day-to-day duties of the Clan Leadership. Should it be in reverse, I will throw myself into creating legendary competitions and scribing – with my fellow members – changes that will move Arcona forward.

In addition, my door (or IRC) is always open. There is no such thing as a bad idea (barring ideas from Matt Adler). I want you to introduce your own, original ideas to the leadership - we are stagnant without new ideas and new growth. And I want to hear your ideas, so that as new projects open up I can help assign our best people (whom are interested in the projects) to them.
