The Aeotheran Jungle

The shuttle flew over the treetops, nearly skimming the branches, Captain Senth sat at the controls following his master's instructions, who sat in a nearby seat with his eyes closes beneath his hood. The Consul of Clan Naga Sadow studied the recently appointed Quaestor curiously but humoured him, as he had when Malisane had requested his presence. He glanced across at the other occupant, the other of the Clan's Quaestors who had recently left Aeotheran for Tarthos to take control of Marka Ragnos. Warlord Robert Sadow was also strangely quiet, and Manji sensed an uneasiness he had never experienced in his predecessor before now. Manji sat back and folded his arms.

"Take us down now Senth," Malisane's raspy voice ordered.

Manji studied the display then glanced at the Markosian Quaestor, noting a look of resignation and faint annoyance on his face. The DAC landed the shuttle smoothly on the grass of the clearing. Malisane stood. "We are here." He pushed the door release and stepped out. Manji followed him, and Bob slouched to his feet, walking out into the jungle,. Malisane strode forward quickly, the other two following,

After a few minutes Manji blinked in suprise as he saw the black structure rearing out of the trees, the featureless marble somehow failing to reflect the midday sunlight. "What is that?"

Malisane turned, then glanced at Robert Sadow. "I was hoping to find out."

The Markosian Quaestor stared for a few moments silently. "So you found it. Damn you."

Manji glanced from one Quaestor to the other, then at the structure again, "Alright what is going on? What is that place?"

"Something that should have remained lost," Bob replied darkly.

"I think it found me," Malisane said quietly. "And it nearly killed me."

The Warlord laughed ironically, "Maybe it should have," he snarled, "so you passed the trials? Well done." His tone didn't sound congratulatory.

"What is it?" Manji demanded, his curiously peaked.

"The Bastion," Robert replied, "last home of House Primus Goluud."

Manji glanced from him to the structure. "That's The Bastion? I heard the name years ago but not any details."

Malisane nodded, "I suspected so. How come we don't know about this place?"

"No one was meant to," Robert growled, "it was better left dead."

They paused for a few moments. "Well now I need it," Malisane replied, "it has shown me the way. We have been weak, caught out by the True Brotherhood and the Vong and the Peace Brigade. But not again. It will help me prepare. Test and harden our brethren."

"It will kill the weak and the undeserving," the Warlord promised.

"Good." Malisane replied, "as it should be."

"Very well," Manji replied, "it is yours. Use it well."

Bob laughed. "Or it will use you well."

Suddenly Senths voice crackled over the communicator. Manji looked at Malisane. "What did he say?"

"He said there's a storm coming."

Manji nodded. "I know."

Hello Ludo Kressh!

Firstly I'd like to say a big thank you to my predecessor Sai. He's been a good, hard working and committed member and leader of this House and though I'm sad he's stepped down as Quaestor I'm sure he'll be doing great things in the future.

Secondly I'd like to say thanks to Manji and Taigikori for the opportunity to serve this House as Quaestor once again. I've been in Ludo Kressh since I joined the Dark Brotherhood and this is my second go at Quaestor. I'm going to do my best to work with the members and our Clan leaders to make it better from ever going forward into the upcoming Right of Supremecy and beyond.

Thirdly I'd like to draw attention to the impressive collecion of awards that have gone out this week and draw your attention to some amazing members of this Clan.

Firstly we've got promotions to Equite 4 for our Consul Krath Ponfiflex Manji Keibatsu Sadow and our former Pro Consul Sith Warlord Ashura Isradia Sadow. You have to be damn good to get to those ranks and they definatley are.

We've also had an Amethyst Kukri for Macron Sadow and a Sapphire Blade for Darth Vexatus alias Xanos, again they're two of the higher jeweled medals that aren't awarded often and only go to people who've made a big contribution to the Brotherhood and their Clan and again they definatley have.

In addition Sai has received a Steel Cross for all of his recemt valued efforts and our Jade Serpents Tetrarch Dyrra has received a prestigious and very deserved Grand Cross of the Dark Side. for working hard and being generally cool.

A big congratulations to all of the above :)

What we on now, fourthly? Right. We've recently had my trivia and caption comp, which finishes when i wake up tomorrow. We're going to have more of the same and some fiction and graphics stuff that I'm hoping to relate to House Ludo Kressh and Aeotheran, so that you all get to add a bit of quality and depth to our House and surroundings.

From your emails tonight you can see we've also got a runon starting mid November, The Underworld, This is for the entire Clan and hope we have fun with it. It's something a bit different and nice and straightforward for all levels to get their teeth into. Watch out for more updates and wiki stuff relating to this.

Lastly, the above fiction is not just for your reading pleasure, its a vision of our future. Over the next week or so I'm going to be closing our two existing battleteams, the Sapphire Squadron and the Jade Serpents, and concentrating our efforts on a new Battleteam, The Bastion, I'm trying to make this a new kind of team, trials relevant to it that will help your promotion tasks be a lot more relevant fictionally, competitions to be in it and to lead it, and a fictional basis of events that you can add to your character sheets. This is just for the active members, if you do stuff you're in if you don't you're out, but you're welcome back when you do again.

This ought to give us a focus for our active members and stop people just sitting on a roster not knowing what to do. Got a load of ideas I'm going to be turning into wiki details and updating you on and I hope you like it. Watch out for updates over the next week. Once it's up and running any suggestions would also be appreciated to add to it.
