Greetings Shadow Gate members,

After many weeks of planning, plotting, and preparing, our clan and house summits have settled on the new battleteams and have placed every member within one of the battleteams, per the Project: Reb00t reorganization requirements. It is my pleasure to be leading one of these teams, and especially to have each of you as part of this new team. You should have each received an email introduction from me (except you, Ruluk, since we’ve talked on IRC), so my first request from each of you is to respond to that email and let me know that you are ready to rock and roll.

I want to take a few minutes to explain how Project:Reb00t is going to directly affect us here in Shadow Gate. The main point of it is to give the members more personal attention from their leaders, ensuring that you have all the tools necessary in order to succeed, be happy, and be active in the Brotherhood. To that end, it is my job to be available and proactive with each of you, so expect me to check up on you regularly to see how things are going.

There are many things in the works right now at different levels within the clan, but I can give you a brief overview of what to expect in the coming weeks and months.

*There is talk about an inter-battleteam competition being worked on that will pit the new battleteams against one another. I think it should be a great warm up for us in preparation for the Rite of Supremacy around the New Year.

*Sometime between now and the RoS we will be doing a lot of work in shaping and molding the new image and culture of Battleteam Shadow Gate. I will be offering up many opportunities for tasks and competitions that will help us in that process, so stay tuned for that. Yes, that means the possibility for medals all around for those who are involved in that venture.

*Like I mentioned, the Rite of Supremacy is coming up in a few months, and I am excited to see how our team performs in such an event. As time moves forward and we learn more about it, I will be contacting you all to see how you wish to participate in the competition.

On another note, the new Clan Force Powers were released this week from the Grand Master. Arcona chose to have “Force Wraiths” and “Blood Trail”. You can read more about them on Wookiepedia here: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Force_Wraith and http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Blood_trail. I think our leaders did a good job picking these out and I look forward to see how they will be integrated into our clan.

That’s about it for this week. Since the team was just formed this week, I will hold off on member activities this time, but I did want to send a special note of thanks to Ruluk who has been active on IRC, some gaming, and some of the clan comps as of late. Keep it up, Ruluk.
