Hey all, quick 24-hour, "opinions posted her" poll. The Tarentum JA server is located in the central regions of the U.S., in or around Texas. I have the option of having it moved to a serveron either the east coast, or the west coast, or keeping it on the hardware where it currently is.
The reason I ask this is, would make make a difference to the European players if it was on the East Coast (i.e. better pings, less lag, etc.), and is there even enough of a desire to see if it'd change? Anyone can voice their opinion for the next 24 hours, here on this news post, and if there's enough of a margin, I'll probably have it moved.
If nobody cares, then ignore this. :P

It's fine where it is... at least for me. East Coast might be a little better so that European players can play with me on the server for once...
well....seeing that I live on the West Coast I would greatly appreciate the server coming over here ;)
Nah I think the server is fine where it is. Texas is a nice central location. The east coast is ok too. For all the Europeans, isn't there a clan server in Europe?
Yeah one of the JO servers is over there.
But the JA server is fine with me where it is at. But east coast works too seeing that I am on the east coast. But I dont have any problems with where it is now. But the major downside to it being moved would be down time and maybe an ip change, would it not?

Well, I'd go for the East Coast. It won't make much difference to the American players, and the European players will all benefit from it.
An East Coast server will not necessarily make a better ping for Europeans (it all depends on the hops of the connection), but the chance is very good it will, especially with a renown ISP. A West Coast location would likely be detrimental even to many US players. So I'd say go east.

Kirleta has a JO/JA Server in Dallas, Texas and any one is welcome to use it. If you want to move Tarentum JA server to the East coast and the Ping get bad for west coast and our mates downunder, they can use the Kirleta server. http://kirleta.no-ip.com
I'm in Europe, and the Tarentum server is one of few that usually gives me a good ping. So it should stay right where it is :o)
