WHAT? Where am I?

Not really a lot of news to report this week. Competitions persist. There will be some new clan fiction coming in the next couple of months as well as some major house fiction events involving Cestus’ banner! More info will be presented on that as preparation nears completion.

Btw I’m sorry this is a day late. The semesterbeat is beating my head into mush lol.

Sharadaradara has a new and very funny competition out for the clan wherein you fill in the bubbles in a Star Wars related comic strip. Windows’ DJB-wide wiki comp persists and, as I understand it, he has had a great number of entries.

You awake to a state of panic throughout the Tarentum houses. Grabbing your closest weapon, you race to the conference room where people are gathering. The holographic image of your Proconsul is plain to see. The news: Your Consul has been brutally murdered.

Your task is to write a horror/mystery story. Include how the Consul died, how you go about finding who killed him, and any sort of horror elements you come across along the way - whether you be stalked by the killer or end the whole story in a twist. Here's the catch - you must begin the story with this line:

"You have got to be kidding me!"

And you must end the story with this line:

"And then I ate him. On a sesame bun. With a side of onion rings."

The story must be at least half a page long.

That's right, Tarenti! Your new Proconsul is looking for some shiny new headers for her upcoming reports to the clan. I am expecting some original, creative looking headers which graphics don't hurt my eyes and don't take too much space. The categories I'd like the headers to go by are:

-Achievements

-Anything else?

Three will be rewarded for their work, but only one will see his or her headers be used in each report. So be sure to give it your best.

Trophy of Tarentum by me! REPLACES FIST OF CESTUS

At the end of every month the most active journeyman in Tarentum will be awarded a shiny. This competition effectively replaces Fist of Cestus but includes the entire clan.

Write 1-2 pages of fiction:

Cestus has recently lost its much beloved Quaestor Ronovi Tavisaen who has been replaced by a dark and mildly xenophobic Ubese!

How does this transfer of power go down? Is it a hostile takeover or a peaceful transition? Is it welcomed by the house or is there unrest?

You will be judged not only on your writing ability but how crazy the entire situation goes down. The weirder and more convoluted the better :). Don't worry about offending me, it's all in good fun!

For four weeks, your Quaestor will submit you to a weekly test regarding general Brotherhood knowledge. Once again, you will be working with analogies. One example would be as follows: "Anshar is to Consul as Oberst is to ____" Hopefully you would answer with "Proconsul" - though the analogies won't be that blatantly easy.

Like last time, weekly points will be awarded based on the correct answer given as well as a first come, first serve basis. The person who answers the fastest with a correct analogy will receive 4 points; the second 3 points; and the third 2 points. Anyone who at least participates on time but does not get the correct answer (or is not one of the top three fastest submitters) will gain 1 point. Keep in mind: THERE WILL BE NO RETRIES.

At the end of the four week period, the one with the most points will earn a Legion of the Scholar.

The Aedile in his gracious spirit has decided that he will be adding a trivia question to his report to the house that will be posted on the 4th Sunday of each month.

This trivia question can come from anywhere in the Star Wars universe and will be designed to test your knowledge and research abilities. You will have 1 month to answer these questions.

First person to successfully answer the question will be awarded a Legion of the Scholar.
