[The Sword's Sheath, 0800 hours, Throne Room]

Severon walked into the Throne Room of the Sword's Sheath and looked at the list of all the Gladians upon the wall. He thought of those who had fallen in past wars and thought of those who would fall in the wars to come.

He left the Throne Room and went back to his office. Once there, he slowly sat down, opened a drawer, and pulled out another bottle of his favorite wine. He couldn't drink it though for it burned his throat in his saddened state.
