[1250 hrs, The Sword's Sheath, Aedile's Office]

Severon sat at his desk, feet propped up, a bottle of his favorite wine and an empty glass on the desk. He decided to spend the rest of the day relaxing, rather than calling another meeting in the meeting room. He glanced in his inbox at all of the SA documents and promotion memos that lay there. He then shifted his gaze to his outbox, at all the papers he should be delivering to Scion but hadn't.

He reached over and popped the cork out of the bottle, then poured just the right amount into his glass. The first sip was the best. The wine raced over his tongue, singing its symphony of taste. It grew less spectacular after that but still good.

The computer beeped as a score report from the Dark Council arrived. Peeved, Severon turned to the monitor and let out a joyous exaltation at what arrived. Tarentum was ahead in gaming. Severon collected himself right before his door opened and Scion entered, looking annoyed.

"Severon," he said sternly. "What is so amazing that you had to scream and interrupt my work?"

Severon gleefully pointed to the monitor. As Scion looked to where the Aedile's shaking finger pointed, he smiled warmly, then started to laugh softly. "I knew we could do it." Scion said. Then he pulled out a flask of scotch and joined Severon for a drink.
