Hello and Happy February, everyone! Yes, this month is the time of extremely cold weather (depending on where you live), cynical views on Valentine's Day, and the constant pondering of why February has to be shorter than the other months. But I digress. On to the report.

• This week in the Rite of Supremacy is going to be very quiet for us, mainly because we placed fifth in the vendetta and therefore have solidly placed before any other clan. I would like to congratulate and thank everyone who participated and/or placed in the RoS events. The knock-out bracket was very impressive in terms of our standings against CP and CSP and I'm proud of that. Now, am I happy with the fact that we placed fifth? No. Because in my eyes, it's not good enough. And I know we as a clan can do better.

For now, however, let's root for our ally Arcona as they duke it out with CNS for third place, as well as enjoy the spectacle of Independent House Revan and Taldryan compete for the champion spot. Who knows, this could be a huge upset. Also, congratulations to everyone who received a merit medal for their work in the RoS - the clan summit is happy to grant them. Of course, more awards are on the way, and I've talked with Welsh - who is the head of the Tarentum Navy while Oberst is Consul - and he is planning to hand out some naval promotions to those worthy of earning one before our military forces are affected by the upcoming reset.

• Besides the multitude of Tarenti who received merit medals, I'd like to take the time to congratulate the two members who received field promotions during the Rite of Supremacy. Jagen Phoenix was promoted to Dark Jedi Knight, while Ji K'awiil was promoted to Sith Battlemaster. Congratulations to the both of them for showing exceptional dedication and valor during the vendetta.

• There are going to be a lot of changes coming for Tarentum's clan structure, lore, and hierarchy. The first step is the revision of the wiki articles. Oberst, Ji, and I have noticed that many of our articles are outdated, and some of the information is unnecessarily bulky or extraneous. Therefore, we have decided to crucially revise the Tarentum Prospectus, removing some of the positions and titles and replacing them with new ones. In the meantime, we will also be clarifying the duties of the Tarenti, ironing out the history articles for errors, needed links, or needed images; and polishing up several other military or OOB-based articles about the clan and its houses. Keep an eye out for those changes by visiting the DJBwiki...oh, and while you're at it, get involved with the wiki, too. :P

• Speaking of the DJBwiki, everyone congratulate Tier-Avis Nami for his character article being featured for the month of February. He has earned a Dark Side Scroll for his work and couldn't have received such awesome recognition without our feedback and nominations. Thanks, everyone, for giving Nami the opportunity to get his work presented to a wider audience.

Unfortunately, there are no competitions at this time due to them still being blocked for the rest of the RoS. However, there are upcoming competitions and storylines, so be sure to keep yourselves busy in other ways. Get on IRC, practice in the ACC, take SA exams, work in the DJBwiki...there's lots to do even without competitions and shinies. So go and have fun while we wait for the okay.
