First business, then onto something a little more personal. I would like to congratulate Jeric Cyrin in becoming Praetor. He has shown me that he can handle the reins without needing anyone to tell him so and his work has improve greatly since I first started working with him. I look forward to working alongside him. Also due to work and personal issues, Robin Hawk has resigned as Magistrate. Looking over the applications received, I have brought Ekeia Iclo and Dralin Fortea on board. The two of them have shown me that they have the heart and skill to do the job. I look forward to seeing how well they do on the Staff. Please join me in congratulating everyone who has taken up a position in the Office.
Now to something that I want to address. By the time you read this, I will be on my way to Great Lakes, Illinois for training to become a sailor in the United States Navy. I have wanted to join the military since I was a child and now that I have taken a step in this direction, I am looking forward to this journey. What does this mean? I will be taking an extended LoA until June 15th to be on the safe side. Hopefully, I will be back before then. If by that time I cannot perform my duties, I will give Muz and Sarin my resignation. I do not believe this will be an issue but I like to make sure everything is in order.
While I am gone, Jeric will be holding down the fort for the Herald's Office and I ask that Muz make sure they don't ruin my office too badly. If so, I ask that he punish the culprits with Force Lightning. :P. Til my return, please direct any questions you may have to Jeric and Muz. As for my duties as a member of the ACC Staff, I will be moving to the Reserves until Erin says she misses me badly. Then I'll make my appearance all sexily and such. :P
With all of the sappy crap done with, let's get to the sexiness!

This past month, I have had two sides of people talk to me or others in regards to my decision to join the military. One side has said that they are proud of me for taking up this position while the other side says it is foolish and because I had no other choice but to do so. What people do not realize is the military has been as much a part of me as my own flesh and blood. As a child, this is something I wanted to do and now, I found a way to combine my adult goals with my childhood goals.
How so? I want to serve my country and I want to get a college degree. The Navy is offering me a chance to do this and I would be a fool to lose this chance while doing a job I feel I would enjoy very much. So while I accept the thanks and the congratulations from those who give it, I look at the others and ask them where I have made my mistake. I am doing what I want and I aim to be successful at it. How can this be a mistake?
It isn't by my eyes. Seeing as this is my life, I believe my perceptions will be more valuable to me than the words of those who are quick to judge. I apologize if this session of the Wolf's Den seems a little aggressive but this is a goal I wanted to accomplish and I have. Our goals and hopes are all that we have at the end of the day. No one has the right to tread on them. And on that note, I thank everyone for your support and I will see you all in June.

Lies! I did not resign, I was fired for no reason other then giving my honest opinion on some of the work that was done. I guess people aren't looking for honesty. Heck I don't even have my own custom lightsaber done because I don't trust the work of the current upper echelon Heralds staff to do it and currently don't have time. I put other members work before my own. Raven was excellent, the best, unfortunately he got busy and had to go.
As I see it if you don't have time to run a high position in a Club where everyone is expecting things of you, then you should resign. If you are going to be gone for months at a time, you should give up your position. I did my work, wanted more, given more, eventually finding an idea to do it and then doing it. Then was fired for honestly expressing my opinion.
Jeric,does some nice graphics.. But I know two people who applied that would have been 75% better or more. If it is some leaders goals to "not hire" the best to succeed in a position because the leader plans to return and take that position back after a long LOA. If you are too busy with life and can't get the quality work done required of you, move on. This isn't just of my own opinion and have had other people tell me the same.
On another note. For anyone else I will be happy to do report graphics, website designs, objects, etc. I can give you some references, if need be. Just ask me what I can do. I am pretty versatile in my graphics. I don't just do lightsabers and place war banner logos on pre-existing war banners templates. I can do robes, but there is a predetermined texture that gets used and only a couple of people are allowed to have that.
Thanks to all those who have approached me privately to do work for them. I am honoured to work for you.

Robin, it is obviously that your RL is causing problems for you here in the DB, you told me yourself you where under a lot of stress. Let me clarify that you where removed from the staff after you verbally attacked me, insulted Shikyo’s ability to do his job, and then went on to basically say “people only join the military when they have given up on life.â€
Two people 75% better than me for the job? Well that’s your own opinion Robin, cause if it was the truth they would be P:HRLD right now, not me. As long as I do my job to the best of my ability and make the “customers†happy, then who is to say that I am not the best suited for the job??? My opinion is that you should take your own advice and take some time off from the DJB to deal with your problems before you get yourself into trouble.
Good luck, Shikyo. This is a huge step to take in life, something I would never have the guts to do myself. Every time I look at my custom saber you made for me, I'll think of you being a BAMF on a ship with a bunch of manly men.
...By the way, don't enjoy that last part too much. :P
Whatever the reasons were behind Robin leaving the HRLD staff, it's obvious that the reasons presented in the report are not the truth. Whatever the reason and whomever is involved, the fact that the truth is not being presented is something I find worrisome.

CSP? I'm not really all that CSP'ish. Ask anyone. I don't really have any particular loyalty to any unit. grin But aside from that, the subject of truth vs. lies is something I, as a member of the CoJ staff, pay attention too. If somebody quit/was fired/whatever and you don't want to say why, then just don't say why. There's no need to make up something that's not the truth, as there's no real need to say anything at all.

Since apparently people's feelings got hurt for trying to give them some dignity, here's the truth. Robin was fired because she could not accomplish her job without complaining about everything needed to be done. After personally attacking myself, my Praetor, and one of my Magistrates, I determined that her code of conduct was not beneficial to the Staff and removed her.
Now, thanks to all the supporters and to the haters, well... keep doing your job.

Joining the military is a personal decision made only by the person who is signing the dotted line and taking the oath. Everyone has an opinion on something like joining but there are also times those opinions should be kept to themselves. My hat goes off to anyone that joins the military, no matter what branch. Although, some of you should man up and join the Marines:).
