15 May 2010 Headmaster Report #37 <-

News
--It has been an incredibly long time since I released a report, for several reasons. First, these past few months have just been incredibly busy for me, with school and the world of the real. Projects just never stopped piling up. Luckily, the Shadow Academy is a largely independent organization, so save a few degrees and problems things ran as usual when grading exams. I was not able to release much new material or projects, however, and will be talking about those later on in the report.
--First, I have the results for the "Mysteries of the Vault" SA Competition. We received an ok amount of entries, though for such an easy competition there should have been more. In First Place: Justin Wayne. In Second Place: Severon. In Third Place: Liram. Congrats, guys! Sorry for the long wait!
-As of today, I am resigned from my position as Headmaster. The first reason, as I stated earlier, is real life, which despite summer coming up will probably not get much quieter. The second reason, however, is that my time away made me realize something. When it comes to the Shadow Academy, I am proud of the impact I have had on its organization and content, and that the SA is a better place now because of my time as Headmaster. I also realized, however, that what I can do in the SA is beginning to dwindle. I don't have anymore major structural changes. My impact has reached its conclusion, and it is now time, after a little over two years, to allow a new face to look at the SA as he/she sees fit.
Thank you to everyone who helped during my tenure as Headmaster, because it truly was an amazing time. I had an amazing staff, from EPs to Docents and Professors, and an amazing Praetor, Taig, who was always there to help out however needed. Thanks also to Sarin, for initially appointing me Headmaster, and Muz, who has always been one of the most supportive Dark Council members where it concerns not only the Shadow Academy but also my own projects and plans. I'm proud of what I am accomplished, and am ready to move on to something else. I will, however, keep up with SA Wiki articles, and actually plan on doing a major update to many of those in the next week along with Taig, sort of as a long word. Other than that, I hope to stay around the SA helping in some way, because I do love it, but I leave that to whoever replaces me.

Projects
--There are numerous projects that I have started but will not be able to finish, which is probably the one thing I regret. However, for now Taig will be keeping them up to date, and then when the new Headmaster is announced I will make sure that things keep moving forward. CSP History and DB History II are both practically finished save for the coding, and the revamped Leadership Studies is in the midst of coding by Taig. Combat Tactics is that one project that just never gets finished, so I'm not even going to speculate on how that will be handled.
What can you expect from the new Headmaster? I don't know, but I would venture to guess that new courses and new degrees and new competitions will continue to be released just as they always have been, just with a new person running them. As for me, I will be venturing to House Revan, looking for a fresh start, and I must say I look forward to being able to sit back and relax as a regular member without any leadership responsibilities. After over three years of constant leadership roles, I'm tired.

You're my greatest friend and mentor the DB has brought me. It's been 2 years I'll value for the rest of my DB career. Thanks for everything. But you suck for not giving me a departing gift. :P Later Geppetto.
House Revan welcomes you with open arms, and pride in your accomplishments. We hope that your stay with us will be full of fun and relaxation, especially since Raken picks up the bar tabs no questions asked.
You've been an awesome headmaster, and I personally have appreciated the guidance when I've had questions, and the awesome competitions along the way.
Aabs, you rock. You did amazing things with the SA. We will miss you and the work you accomplished.
Aabs...It was a pleasure serving under your headmasterness........And this club will truly miss everything you did for us. Really hate to see you go, and I wish you well in all that you do outside of this club!!!!!
Aabs I'm sorry to hear that you are resigning as Headmaster of the Shadow Academy. You have accomplished many things during your tenure. You lead the way for the new shadow academy and departments. You have supported your Professors & Docents in the best way that you could. Remember that everyone in a leadership position wished they could gotten more done. That's is the nature of being a leader.
Goodluck in your future with the brotherhood. I know its not over, we all need to step back and let new ideas come in.
Thank you for everything you have done for the SA and the chance you gave me to be an EP long ago. We will miss you as HM.
Aabsdu, you have been an incredible Headmaster, and I salute you. You've been around for most of my DB career, so the new HM better do a darn good job! Thanks for everything, and good luck in everything you do in life.
