_Running his hand over the edge of his desk, he thought back on these past four years; these past four glorious years. He had come to an Academy in exile, floating aimlessly aboard the Arcanum with no end in sight. He had helped guide the Academy back to Lyspair, settling in to their new, redesigned and heavily fortified fortress on the cliff. He has aided in the revolutionizing of the Academy he so loved, transforming it from a disorganized series of courses into stratified departments, each with its own head. New courses into various techniques, histories, and philosophies had been introduced. Old ones removed. Even this office, the office of the Headmaster, had changed much over the years. Most important of all, he had helped prevent the destruction of the Shadow Academy. Hundreds of staff had been killed by their masked assassin, but in the end it all came down to a duel, and he had aided his Dupar brother so that they may prevail over their foe.
The Shadow Academy was, quite simply, prospering, along with the rest of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood, and he had helped bring it to this place. These four years would long be remembered in the Academy's history, he had helped earned it that place. For four years, he had stood by the side of his master, Headmaster Aabsdu, but now it was his turn. Now it was Taigikori's turn to go down in history as Headmaster of the Shadow Academy.
And remembered, he would be._
Hello all,
Welcome to my first Headmaster Report. It's quite an honor to serve as your next Headmaster, and I'd like to take this time to thank Muz for the opportunity to run the Shadow Academy. I'd especially like to thank Aabsdu, who has been my friend and boss for two years. A little history about me. I started working in the Shadow Academy as a Special Magistrate in April of 2008, where I eventually moved up to full Magistrate. In February of 2009, I was appointed Praetor, and have been on a roll ever since. I'm from Clan Naga Sadow, where I just stepped down from the position of Proconsul to take on the job; a clan that will ever be dear to my heart. I also served as Right Hand of Justice. All in all, I've served on the Dark Summit for two and a half years. I've implemented policies that you might be aware of, such as the dissolution of the Eclectic Pedagogues and the integration of the Professor system.
The biggest news is the selection of my Praetor. I put applications out and received several good ones, but one really stood out amongst the crowd. I'd like to congratulate Solus Gar on becoming the next Praetor to the Headmaster. Solus was looking for a change in the Dark Summit that still gave him some coding opportunities (and boy do we have a lot of them). I've worked with Solus before, as Quaestors in Arcona and as Hands of Justices, and I can vouch for his professionalism. I'm expecting great things from him, as are most.
Onto Magistrates. Aabsdu and I both agreed that his skills should still be utilized as a Magistrate. His qualities are unparalleled, and I'm quite happy to keep him around. Another applicant from the P:HM pool was outstanding, though he didn't get Praetor, I realized his services would be much appreciated should he return to the Shadow Academy. Please welcome Legorii as Magistrate to the Headmaster.
TGKR, MOAR APPLICATIONZ. With the upcoming release of the Scholae Clan History Exam, I realized that it's time I open a new Professor Hall within the Shadow Academy. Announcing now the Clan History Hall and the new position of Professor of Clan Histories. The Professor of this particular hall with be charged with the ever more needed unbiased look upon his or her students, as they are holding individual Clan Histories in their palms. Below are some basic requirements applicants should meet for the job. Have all applications to myself and Solus by Sat. June 16th.
Rank: Dark Jedi Knight or Above
Leadership Experience: Not needed, but preferred.
Shadow Academy Experience: Paramount. You must have completed all of the Clan History Exams before you can be accepted for the position.
Email Turn Around: 48 hours. I do have a tendency to fire PROFs/A:PROFs and Docents who don't grade exams in an acceptable time frame.
Projects, the lifeblood of this Academy. Since Aabsdu's resignation, I've been bulking up ideas and coordinating with nearly every Dark Council member. Except the FIST, cause I don't want to get too close to his knuckles. To start, I'm announcing the official return of the Dark Sage Writing Course. The 2010 Sage Writing Course was pioneered by Oberst, but we'll be giving it a little bit of a Star Wars edge this go around. Students will learn the fundamental aspects of the pen through different authors and genres of writing. If you're interested in this course, watch for announcements for applications towards the end of the month. Erinyes posed a great question earlier, and asked if applicants from last year's failed Writing Course will have priority over the applicants from this year. And I'm pleased to announce, we won't be putting a limit on how many people we admit into the course. As long as we deem your writing is of the quality to withstand a 10 week Sage course, you'll be admitted. Passing the course on the other hand, is completely up to you.
Just recently, we had a man by the name of Xen Mordin work on some graphical projects for us. The one that stood out the most, was the creation of images for our Dark Side Degrees. You can find the images below, or at the Wiki.
A little teaser, I'll be giving these every so often; just to keep you all on your toes. I'm proud to announce the future release of the Shadow Academy Alumni! Communications failure-further intel restricted
There are several coding glitches that Arion and myself are working to fix ASAP. The DC already knows of the Passing Exam Notification emails being missing. Beyond that, it goes deeper into Notifications still not being sent to Professors. Worry not, we'll have it fixed.
Onto the biggest project that any Headmaster has seen since Pyralis took on the Dark Fury project. Everyone has heard about it, the Grind Path. Though few know details, I'll be elaborating on it. Sometime last year, Muz came to Aabs and I with an idea to change (and yet go back to our roots) on how we promote the newer members. With MMOs like World of Warcraft, Guild Wars 2, and Everquest, we're faced with a difficult challenge of competing. The Grind Path will utilize several factions of the Brotherhood, leaning strongly on the Shadow Academy for the promotion of members from Apprentice to Protector or Guardian. It's as it sounds, a Grind. It will also be automated. Member X completes 5 exams, and is automatically raised to the rank of Novice. This is all speculation, and it does tie into how we previously dealt with lower level promotions; and yet it's so different. If a member so chooses, he can Grind up the ranks to Guardian in a few days time, should he have no life; like many who play WoW. The requirements will be harder, but the rewards will be greater. Arion, my ever faithful friend and SA code monkey, just recently got SCL, congratulations to him. Muz is putting us close on this project, and I think it's safe to say, if you have Arion and I working on anything, it's going to become something great.
That concludes this report, thank you all for reading. A little reminder, start CCing Solus on everything SA related when you send me something. This drove me crazy when I was P:HM, not being CC'd, so make sure Solus doesn't have to endure that annoyance. Until next month everyone!

Yay for Grind Path! Also, I'm the first poster for your very first Head Master Report Taig! I deserve something special!
Glad to see projects picking up, and congratulations to Solus becoming Praetor! Looking forward to seeing how the SA progresses, Taig.
Also, loving the headers. Who made them?
Very awesome graphics, Taig
Nice graphics, Solus. :P Congrats to both Taig and Solus, I know we'll be seeing great things from you guys.
I got em from Solus. I've been going to him for gfx since I was QUA.
Yah, congrats Solus. The man who, if had a choice, would have the longest dossier title in the DB. Yes, nice graphics Solus.
Oh and XEN. Great work on those, they look familiar. :P
