Hello, and welcome to an early release of this week's Consul report. Yes, since I have a lot of important stuff to report on, I am releasing this a day earlier than usual. Rejoice, my gleeful little Tarenti! Now on to the report - complete with more html-coding because I'm actually figuring more of this stuff out.
Chapter 5 is currently in the works, with Ji, Dralin, and me all contributing one or more pieces of it. Ji will be releasing a report shortly with his section of the chapter, as well as explanations for the happenings of the story in case you're a bit confused or behind. Instead of pasting more fiction into this report and making it obscenely lengthy, I will be e-mailing my piece to Dralin so he can release the chapter in full in his RM:F report and you won't just get fragments of it. And also because I haven't quite started on my part of the chapter, let alone finished it...heh.
In the meantime, Dralin is busy with updating the Clan Tarentum Prospectus so that it is formatted to describe and detail the Yridian Kratocracy. This is our new system of government. For a long time, Tarentum has co-existed with a Yridian-run government mainly because when it started in that manner, it was small and not very powerful. Now that we are a full-blown clan, however, we figured it's time to get a bit darker. You know how in George Orwell's 1984, there were posters of Big Brother everywhere with the slogan "Big Brother is Watching You"? Well, imagine posters everywhere with the Sith King Khyron's symbol on it with the slogan "The King is Yridia - Yridia is King." Not only will the Sith King be more prominent, but the idea of a Kratocracy - which by definition is a tyranny created through force and cunning - will prevail over the system.
As for system expansion as mentioned in the last chapter - that's sort of accurate, but not quite. Tarentum may be becoming more brutal, but it is still a reclusive clan. Ji, Dralin, and I have been outlining a concept involving a more nationalistic approach - meaning, if it's not Yridian, we're not conquering it. But that doesn't mean we can't rampage outside systems and take the goods. Nothing stopping us there, right?
Chapter 5 is the third-to-last chapter of the Theocracy chronicles. Next will be Chapter 6, then Chapter 7. After that...run-on time. So get pumped. And speaking of run-ons...
With the recent activity drop in both houses, I feel that perhaps I'm being a bit too stingy with only allowing one official run-on each year. I know run-ons take a lot of work, but the fact of the matter is, Tarenti love run-ons. Hell, people have come to Tarentum because of our run-ons. After some discussion with house and BT leaders, I have decided to allow official limited run-ons within the houses and teams. Limited run-ons are run-ons that take a small number of volunteers who contribute to the story. These volunteers would then earn medals for their efforts. This way, those interested in run-ons can take part and entire units won't become mentally exhausted after the conclusion.
Unofficial run-ons, such as training exercises or personal run-ons, can still be run. In fact, I do have ideas for certain unofficial run-ons in houses. For example, when it comes to the Reckoners' duties, I could possibly assign them a new target every other week, and they'd then write a run-on involving taking down that target. The reason that this would be more of an unofficial run-on idea is because it'd be tricky to ask Korras to hand out shinies every other week. But maybe I can figure something out.
I want to talk to all house leaders and BTLs concerning ideas for house and team assignments. If we can get the clan summit working more intimately with the houses, rather than just ordering them around, we could get some great concepts going. I know that a few people have been exchanging e-mails with me involving the same sort of feedback, so let's start an open forum.
And now it's time for...
Those who have not submitted their OCS battleplans, please do so or you will flunk the OCS. E-mail them to new Fleet Admiral Sith Bloodfyre (congratulations, buddy) and/or High General Sato Tarentae, Ji, me, and your house leaders ASAP.

And that concludes this week's edition of Tidbits.
Sure, flutists are cool, but how about beatboxing flutists? Greg Pattillo is a jazz-influenced flutist who has performed with various musicians from San Francisco and beyond. His token style: Beatboxing on the flute. I'm dead serious, and it is dead awesome. Below are two links to Youtube videos in which Pattillo performs two pieces - the Inspector Gadget theme song and a Super Mario Bros. medley.

Not only are his songs addicting to listen to, but they're also pretty darn impressive. I can't even make a noise on a flute, let alone play it, and this guy can freaking beatbox on it. Now, there is a scattered number of flutists with the same technique, so the style isn't exactly unique; however, out of all those flutists, it's still Greg Pattillo who really stands out for me. If you want to hear more of his music, click on the link below to go to his myspace page. But be sure to go down to his profile posts and mute the salsa tracks some people slapped on his page; that gets really annoying:

And that was your medicinal dose of Biweekly Awesomeness.
By the time I write my next Consul report, I will be twenty-one years old. Until then, Tarenti, keep on rockin'.
