Hey there, Tarenti, and welcome to another Consul report: Legal drinker style! Yes, I'm reveling in the fact that I'm now twenty-one and can enjoy a bottle of booze without the prospect of getting a breathalyzer shoved down my throat. Anyway, let's begin.
Oh, yeah. You know it's important when this is the first news in my report, rather than anything storyline-related. MAA Korras has sent everyone an automated e-mail, directing an AWOL check DB-wide. You must follow the instructions in the e-mail to prove that you are an active member of your clan, otherwise you will be considered AWOL and moved to the Rogues. Please be sure to respond directly to Korras's e-mail: Do not say you're active to me, it won't help. Do not say you're active to Korras, it won't help. Respond to the AWOL e-mail directly, following the instructions.
We hope all of you are active and will respond to the AWOL check; after all, we don't want Clan Tarentum to become House Tarentum.
Dralin will be finishing the seventh chapter hopefully tonight and will be e-mailing it to everyone. This is an important chapter, as it will detail the Church's huge step into the Yridia system. We're talking a full out attempted coup here, guys. So stay tuned.
If you want to catch up on any of the chapters, go to the link below where you will find all chapters of "Theocracy" on the Tarentum forums:

The story arc's run-on, tentatively titled "The King and the Gods," will be officially running once the seventh chapter is completed. I'm hoping that the latest it starts is Saturday, June 26th. Why? Because I will be taking a brief LoA - from Sunday, June 27th to Wednesday, June 30th - to move down to my new apartment in Southern California. I will need that time to travel around, picking up furniture and what not and moving it in. Therefore, I'd like to be present when the run-on starts.
Just in case the run-on starts later, however, I have sent Proconsul Ji K'awiil des Oultrevent (yep, he has a longer, cooler name now) the first run-on post. As he will be the director of the run-on, he is the one to talk to if A. You'd like to be a part of the run-on guidance team, or B. You have any questions pertaining to any of the story. He will happily answer such questions...I hope. Of course, once I'm back from my LoA, I will be able to answer questions and take some of the burden off of him. He's been doing a lot of busy work for this clan and I'm grateful for it.
Due to real life priorities, Saitou Tarentae has resigned his post as Quaestor of House Reinthaler. Taking his place is Dralin Fortea, formerly the Rollmaster of Fiction in Clan Tarentum. We have high hopes for Dralin as he works to fictionally improve Reinthaler and its activity levels. It is not an easy task to be Quaestor, so we congratulate Dralin and thank Saitou for all of his efforts and helping to found one of our two great new houses.
With Dralin as Quaestor, applications are now open for RM:F of Tarentum. You have until July 7th to turn in your applications. What we are looking for is below:
Submit all applications to me and Ji and CC your house leaders. Remember, you've got a little under two weeks to do this! So don't let this opportunity slip away!
Ji released his Proconsul report on June 17th. If you have not read it, do so now. It contains important information about the new Tarentum navy.
Ji has also been selected as new Magistrate to the Voice. Congratulations to him and good luck - who knows what surprises Halcyon will have in store for you! :P
I'd like to personally welcome some new members to Clan Tarentum: Serynh and Melfeckt. They have just transferred to House Kaerner, and we're very happy to have them.
Members, check the "Stuff that Matters to Me" section of the Competitions page on the main DB website if you wish to see the competitions that your BTLs or house leaders are releasing. If you have any suggestions for competitions, e-mail them to me, Ji, your house summit, and/or your BTLs, depending on what level you'd like to see the comp run on.*
**NOTE ON THIS:* See Halcyon's report for details on when your competition can qualify as DB-wide.
And that concludes this report's edition of Tidbits.
Unfortunately, no dose of Biweekly Awesomeness this time around, guys. Nothing was awesome enough to garner my attention these past two weeks. Maybe next time.
In this week's edition of "Ask the Consul," no question was technically asked. However, I thought I'd occasionally use this section to clarify universal concerns within the clan. The question I will be addressing today is:
I am a Tarenti who would love to have an apprentice. How many apprentices can I have at the same time?
Generally, the rule we use in Tarentum is the single apprentice rule: One master, one apprentice. Why? Because it's important that a master can focus on a single person so they can get the appropriate attention to learn about and adapt to the Brotherhood. Think of it as having a puppy: Better to housebreak and train one at a time.
There are some exceptions to this rule, which are as follows:
Please keep this in mind before considering taking on a second apprentice. After all, we want everyone to have a chance to teach.
If anyone wants to send questions to me, e-mail them to me or hit me up on IRC.
Until next Consul report, Tarenti, keep on rockin'.
