Eiko cleared his throat audibly, tucking his hands beneath the long traditional robes. The street outside the rented flat was silent for a moment - just one moment - before it was broken apart by the whine of a speeder and the clatter of upturned trash. Eiko stiffened at the sound, his back rising and his shoulders drawing backwards in contempt and pride.
Nothing would ruin this. He let himself exhale deeply, starving his lungs for air until he knew the next breath would be sweet as it rushed his senses with life. In practiced ritual, he swept the fabric away from his sides and knelt. After a long moment, he raised his head from a bow and flicked his hand at the wrist. A blue-white light spilled out from the hovering droid onto Eiko as he knelt in the small meditation room. He took his time in beginning his speech, arranging his saber and datapad on the floor in front of him, letting them rest neatly on the raked bed of sand.
"We are Revan."; Eiko let the words rush through the room, bounding off the walls and slowing to a dull rhythm as they returned."For those who have been away - for those who have been out of contact for our dozen reasons, allow me to introduce myself for the first time. Jedi Hunter and Aedile Eiko Lanzer of Revan. To those who have been my teachers and instructors, I thank you for allowing me this honor. Raken, Callus - amani. This is my first report - the first in our House. I'm honored."
Clan News: First and foremost, there is the looming AWOL check that Korras sent out recently. Please respond to it - I know we're not renowned as the most active crowd, but, hey, does it take that much to respond to one e-mail? Just hit "Reply,"Â jam your PIN code into the body of the e-mail, and send it off.
Second in the looming news, there's an opening for a Professor of General Studies. Submit any applications to Taigikori, HM, by July 1st.
Promotions: I'm personally astounded by the number of names that have cropped up in the past few weeks for promotions. Congratulations to Callus for staying on top of those. Please take a moment and congratulate the members of our House who have progressed in rank recently. For the rank of Novice: Jigsaw, Kael Turin, and Javin Endel. For the rank of Acolyte: Apep and Navrez. For the rank of Protector: Justin Wayne.
Medals: We had the last rush of Seals of Bone and Clusters of Ice come in from the Rite that happened back in January and February. Because of the flood of names, I think it's appropriate to simply raise yet another round of applause for everyone who committed to being a part of that Rite of Supremacy and making it successful. I hadn't realized how much effort was behind our success until I saw the veritable deluge strike my inbox. Halcyon has also been working on getting Clusters of Ice passed around for previous victories in the ACC - someone (Dalthid) was slated to walk away with 47 such medals.
In other medals, a few people have won competitions and brought home shiny mementos from their successes. Justin Wayne earned a Sapphire Crescent for a First Place victory in the "Tombs of Wisdom" competition. I brought back Sapphire and Ruby Crescents for the Fist's Banner competition and "The Journey"ÃÂ competitions. For those looking for elevations or just for a good way to pass the time, please look through the Clan competitions that are currently running. We'll also unveil some House competitions later.
Exams: I don't dare mention all the exams that were passed recently - but I would like to make hearty mention of the people who put forward over twenty exams that were passed with extremely high scores. Apep, Javin Endel, Jigsaw, Kael Turin, and Navrez have completed a insane number of exams in the past two weeks. They have been incredibly involved in our House and represent a strong group of committed individuals who are pressing forward in ranks and in the Clan as a whole. Please take a moment to congratulate them, either here or as you see them on IRC.
Transfers: DA Aabsdu Dupar (from Dark Council/Headmaster) SBM Starrett (from Plagueis) JH Jarith Krasa (from Rogue) DSA Arion Aquillarum Sunrider (to Dark Council/Seneschal)
Competitions: We're looking forward to running a few small competitions within the House here without much further delay. Those will be announced as loudly as possible through all usual veins - until then, there are several good competitions running right now. From here until the end of the week, take advantage of the several competitions from the Fist and Voice that have come out recently. You have until the end of the month to get some submissions ready for Voice Halcyon's three writing competitions: "All in Good Time," "Something is Coming,"ÃÂ and "The End."
Personal Projects: I'm closing in on the final leg of my personal journey to the rank of Knight - for those who have been following my progress, that includes a promotion to the rank of Jedi Hunter and the responsibilities of Aedile as well as a transition from the Krath into the Obelisk. I've been trying to work my way into the leadership role of Aedile, though that process was hampered by a stint as a camp leader last week and will end up hitting another hiccup in the form of a family vacation in Mid-July. I will give everyone plenty of notice on that one, just in case I disappear and people desperately need to know where I went.
One of my pet projects (still) is the hope of arranging an ACC ladder in our House so that our matches are ranked in some internal order - it's simpler and less time-consuming than large events like the Journeymen or Equite Ladders that ran a few months ago. We'll see what it looks like. If you're interested and you've read this far, please send me an e-mail or something similar to tell me that you like the idea. From that number, I can start thinking about how to move things forward.
For the remainder of the summer, I'd like to step up my involvement in the House - getting to know everyone (old and new) and running some more light competitions. If I don't manage to stay readily visible between here, IRC, and message boards, please feel free to start a conversation via e-mail. With a full-time work schedule, staying available for conversation is turning into a challenge. You could also get your hands on some of my in-character fiction or have an engaging in-character conversation with me. All such options are welcome.
"From Sigma Horizon to Sigma Horizon, kama ari wanga." Eiko exhaled. As fluidly as he could, he switched off the recorder before he let his whole body slouch with its own weight. It felt like a genuine weight on his shoulders, but he shrugged and closed his eyes. The days here on Ralltiir were grating on him as he hunted the streets for just one name. <-

The special characters and what-not are bothering me... please ignore funky spacing and strange characters. I'll square it away for the next report.
Ah Eiko.... always the eager lad ;) keep up the good work. there are reason you progress much quicker than I. haha. I'm proud of your accomplishments here my friend.
haha. Long time no see, buddy. I'll catch you in a few months, or on the message board if you're up to it. You managed to get that AWOL check in, so maybe you'll be around some more?
Sounds good man. I hope to try and get some tests done. Pretty busy summer for, as always for people with my major. haha. Havent hit the message board much. Need to get on that. Probably another reason i never move up.
