House Dinaari AED Report #160 07.03.2010 / SBM Aticus Jade

Technically this is my first report as your Aedile, but it makes me look awesome by just continuing off everyone else hard work and reports, thus you are now getting the 160th Dinaari Aedile report. Got a few things to go over, so sit down, shush, and enjoy. w00t! :-P

TOPIC ONE

As everyone should have noticed by now, you are now stuck with myself and Max as your new House Summits. Why? Because none of you better people wanted the job, so now you have us. But honestly, I hope to suffice and provide everyone with the semi-best at least in entertainment, love, and harmony. In other words, you'll have competitions to do, someone to cry to when you fail at life or the DB (tis okay I love u), and as always someone to give you medals and promotions. Pretty much your average AED, doing AED stuff. If you have a problem with myself or Max, tell Vodo because he is the crazy person that would hand such positions over to people like us - and yes I know, they let anyone lead a house these days right? So hopefully for those of you that survive this AWOL check, you will be happy lil campers and will enjoy me as much as I enjoy you.. ..that being said in a good non mind in the gutter way.. for most of you anyway.. some of you are just to tempting..

I have an open door policy and anything said to me stays between us and I read in a magazine that I am suppose to be like a father figure or something, so come to pappy any time you want. :-P

TOPIC TWO

Everyone in this house that has not joined between now and 2 weeks ago should have checked in with the MAA at [Log in to view e-mail addresses] If you have not, I suppose do it now and perhaps you'll get to stay here, if not than hate to say it but you're gone in matter of days. Korras is terribly bored, thus removing you is just another thing for him to do so don't think you're to beautiful to not be AWOL'd.. and yeah I know, why the hell not but regardless he = bigger where it counts, that being he is the MAA and has t3h powah. For those of you that participated and did your part, I thank you on behalf of the House and Clan Summit, as well as the House and Clan as a whole. Despite its an almost effortless thing to do, it means a lot to those that are part of this and have been a part of this for quite some time now, to see both new and old members standing and voicing for Dinaari and Taldryan. sob brings a tear to my eye. :-P Thanks again to those who have checked in, Epic Fail to those of you who have not - unless you have a change of heart and check in now. That sums it up, results should be out soonish?

There are a few competitions already out, and being the tard I am I forgot to give everyone notices/spam about them. So since it was my mistake I'll be extending these competitions from today for about a week or something, so take this opportunity to take part and earn some easy medals guys. Details are listed below.

House Dinaari has for longer than most can remember, produced only the brightest, most talented, and finest of our Brotherhood's Dark Jedi. Further more many of our Grand Masters have been forged right here in Clan Taldryan. Needless to say, our House and Clan has a history that is nearly untouchable by most, but what about the future? Not just the future of our Clan and House, but of YOU? This short writing competition has been designed with those ranking from DJK-SWL in mind, however there is a special exception for those under the rank of DJK that would like to try their shot in the competiton so long as they have completed "A Dark Honor". Members that participate will add four ranks to their current one for their writing and select one of the choices bellow to write about. For members under DJK that participate, they are to consider themselves 1 rank above DJK for their fiction article. Each story must be 8 paragraphs (4 sentences per paragraph) to be a valid minimum submission.

1 - You are far beyond your first days in the Dark Brotherhood, and our House and Clan. Based on your rank, your Order, and natural abilities what are you doing as a Dark Jedi for our House and Clan now? How did you get here? Write about your rise to this future, and the challenges you faced to reach it. (Reccomended for DJK+1 - DJK+3)

2 - The Brotherhood has shifted over the years, some of the Houses and Clans have crumbled and fallen, and even Clan Taldryan and House Dinaari has felt the change. Is this change a deadly blow to our society? Or is it a gift of opportunity for it? Given your rank, your Order, and natural abilities where are you now at in House Dinaari or Clan Taldryan? Are you a great warrior leading one its Dinaari's Battleteams? Perhaps you now reign over the entire house? Or are you now a powerful member of the Taldryan Summit? Its your choice! (Reccomended for DJK+2 - DJK+4)

3 - Our House as a whole has been summoned for a divine task set before us by the Dark Council, and our clan summit. The task is not an easy one, and in the process the Quaestor and Aedile have fallen and truly become one with the Dark Side. The house now turns to you as its Champion, and look to you to take up the reigns and lead it to glory. But the choice is ultimately yours! What was the task that took the lives of your QUA and AED? Do you step forward as Dinaari's Champion, leading it to glory and victory? If so how? Or do you use what remains of the house to achieve your goal of dominate power, resulting in you being the last of your housemen! Upon your return does the Clan Summit bestow you glory and reward? Or must you face them to survive? The choice is yours! (Reccomended for Equite 3 - Elder 1)

4 - Ultimate power is your only goal.. A powerful archenemy awaits you with a small army of his/her own. You stand as one of the strongest Dark Jedi in the Brotherhood, and to compliment this is your fellow brothers and sisters in House Dinaari, and in Clan Taldryan. You take yourself and the house into battle and the fight is more than you had anticipated! While the majority of Dinaari fights scattered, picking and choosing their foes as they come, you and up to two close allies in the house stand and face your Archenemy - a Sith Lord in avatar form! This battle is epic, but only you can write it! Give details as to which Sith Lord you face, the battle against him/her and their army, and the toll it takes on the house as well as what rewards you reap upon victory, or the exile you undertake upon barely escaping with your life. (REQUIRED - DJM-GM)

If none of these topics interest the member IT IS POSSIBLE to write your own plot line, so long as either the QUA or AED approves prior to the submission however the minimum requirement for paragraphs remain regardless. Any member may submit twice using 2 different plot lines, however only one story may take a slot as 1st, 2nd or 3rd in this competition. All submissions must be submitted to the Dinaari QUA and AED. The 1st Place Winner shall not only receive their Crescent but their winning Running Time:

This small writing competition is emphasized and developed specifically for those that have yet to obtain the glory and honor to call themselves a Dark Jedi Knight, but yet are still capable and deeply motivated to prove that they are just as much a lethal, skillful, and valued Dark Jedi. To compete, the Dark Jedi must write a minimum of a 5 paragraph story about one of three things.

1 - Their FIRST weapon they use as their trademark weapon as a Dark Jedi of House Dinaari, and how they either crafted or earned it. If the member is writing about crafting the weapon it is best to write briefly on how they obtained the materials to craft it and how long it took to forge. If the member is writing about earning it, it is best to write about what they had to do to earn it, and who presented it to them.

2 - Their FIRST kill as a Dark Jedi of House Dinaari. Member should choose if their kill is either a hunt and elimination, or a capture and sacrifice, or possibly something else. It is best to be detailed about how and why you took upon the mission to kill your first target, as well as be detailed about the fight or hunt for the target, and how it made you feel once it was finished.

3 - Their FIRST battle scar as a Dark Jedi of House Dinaari. Its common sense that as Dark Jedi we are bound to get cut, stabbed, burnt and so on. If a member is to choose this option it is best that they choose an "interesting" way they obtained the scar (falling down and scraping your knee does not count) and be detailed as to how the got only a scar instead of a decapitation. Was it a training accident? Was it on purpose? Perhaps it was self inflicted? Its the members choice.

As stated, all stories must be a minimum of 5 paragraphs, four sentences per paragraph, to be valid for entry. All entries shall be graded on the Plot Line, Creativity, Grammar, and Length. Any story can earn a maximum of a 5 and score as low as a 1. Any story considered a "MUST READ!!" will get an auto +3 to it, boosting its chance to win. All members from the rank of Apprentice to Jedi Hunter may participate in this, and may write two stories using 2 of the 3 options given. All entries must be submitted to the House Dinaari QUA and AED. The 1st place winner shall not only be awarded their Cresent, but their winning fiction piece shall be included in the Aedile's report. TOPIC SIX

This is where I put my thoughts in, so for most of you that don't care about that you can just close the email now. For those who do, I just want to say thanks again to those of you that are communicating with me, and doing your part. Awards and promotions coming into our house and clan makes the house and clan look sexy, and thus you being a part of that will attract beautiful men and women in RL because you are part of such a sexy thing. No lies, Taldryan and Dinaari have a better success ratio at making relationships than eharmony! Okay yeah so I lie, but still you guys know that doing stuff makes everyone look good and when everyone looks good you look better, your summits are happier and people get rewarded. There are several projects I want to work on, and I know many of you would like to see them completed - but be patient and give us time. There are several things that you as Clansmen can be doing to help yourself and your fellow clansmen out a lot.

1 - RECRUIT RECRUIT RECRUIT ZOMG RECRUIT!!! 2 - Participate in Competitions and earn rewards!! 3 - Communicate via E-Mail and IRC 4 - Old people, teach new people.. really.. 5 - Earn a degree at the Shadow Academy!! Who doesn't want to be the walking encyclopedia of the DB? 6 - Ask a summit how you can help! There are other things to be done, but we are not completely evil and just shove our jobs on you - but help is always helpful. :-P 7 - Suggest ideas of your own, develop your leadership ability and blossom into our club as the next GM or something. 8 - Drink more beer.
