Consulâ€™s Digressions

Hello everyone! Let me introduce myself for those who donâ€™t know me. I am Macron Goura Sadow, the original mad alchemist of CNS (and I dare say the DJB). I started my career in the DJB in â€™05 in Sapphire Squadron under the infamous Robert Daragon Sadow. And it has been a wild and fun ride ever sinceâ€¦ go figure. ;)

In RL I am a chemist in a medical testing lab. I particularly work with hormones for gas chromatography analysis for those of you who care. So, the fictional background of my DB character as alchemist is very fitting.

Iâ€™m very excited to be sitting in the Consulâ€™s seat again. My last stretch was back in â€™07 during a GJW which we did rather well in. I was placed in the position as somewhat of a surprise when our former Con had to step down for RL reasons. Talk about baptism by fireâ€¦ anyhow, I enjoyed it. And we did well.

Iâ€™m looking forward to working with Tsainetomo again. We are pretty close friends here in the DB and work very well together. Sometimes we jokingly refer to ourselves as â€œJules and Vincentâ€ for those of you who liked Pulp Fiction.

I donâ€™t have nifty graphics for my reports yet, but I will soon thanks to a very kind offer by Robin Hawk. Thank you!

Something important to remember about positions like Consul and other leadership positions within this wonderful club of ours- they are not a privilege. They are a job! You donâ€™t get them as a reward, you get them because you can do the work and have the best interest of your unit in mind, whether it be small like a BT or large like the entire DJB (like Muz). Leaders work hard. The DC folks often hear lots of complaining, but seldom hear compliments. I encourage you to take time to remember this and thank those who work for you occasionally to make this a fun place!

CNS Happenings

Iâ€™ve been seeing a lot of passed Shadow Academy courses. Great job everyone! Also Clusters, Medalsâ€¦. A few promotions. Itâ€™s nice to see these sort of things, it means folks are having fun. Also quite a few ACC character sheets approved some by new folks. This is very good!

Operation: Doom Train: continues. Iâ€™m just grabbing the reins here so with Tsainetomoâ€™s sage help weâ€™ll continue the fun. Itâ€™s a great idea my Manji, kudos to him.
Unrest in the City: Deliverance is officially karked thanks to excellent teamwork. I particularly like the â€œshot in the backâ€ idea, very Dark Jedi. Look for the next runon to
begin soon as Fremoc gets it rolling.
Kudos this month to Manji. Manji did an excellent job as Consul! Kudos also to Fremoc
for his work with the runon and gaming organization. Thanks, Fremoc. He netted himself a coveted SC for his work as M:FIST.
Also to the many of you who have earned shinies and promotions. An especial Kudos to Teu Pepoi, who now joins the ranks of the Equites as OT for hard work and dedication. Well done!
