Acclivis Draco BTL Report

The Brotherhood's Clans were decimated. All reduced to Houses. Scholae Palatinae was in chaos as each of its Dark Jedi vied for control of the Cocytus System. Eventually a handful won out, Koryn Thraagus amongst them.

The shuttle fell through the Antenoran atmosphere carving a beeline straight for the capital of Suzel, and the Dragon's Citadel. Descending the landing ramp, the Rodian was met by four armoured soldiers of Kraken Regiment. They informed him that they had been posted at the Citadel to repel any potential uprising following the reformation of Acclivis Draco. Opening the massive double doors of the Citadel, Koryn found more guards, all of which stood to attention as he passed.

Koryn took the turbolift to the top floor where his office was situated. For now, it was uncluttered, but the Dark Jedi Knight knew that would all change soon enough. The office was furnished with a simple elegance. Sitting close to one wall was an L-shaped desk, upon which was a small holotransceiver and an input console. Behind the desk was a high-backed chair and behind that were two bookcases filled with various scrolls, and a drinks cabinet filled to bursting with various exotic drinks. Opposite the desk, and taking up the entire wall was a huge panoramic window that looked out over Li Gandor.

The Rodian approached the window and gazed out at the world. Below him, he could see the Antenoran people - his people - going about their daily business. After years of manipulating from the shadows, the desert planet was finally his to control. Sitting down at his desk, the Lord of Antenora activated the holotransceiver and delivered the first report to his team.

Greetings Draconians,

First of all, I'd like to welcome you all to Battleteam Acclivis Draco. There are few of us left now, but I hope this means that we have a highly active Battleteam. I will try to do everything I can to get you all promoted and give you plenty of opportunities to earn shinies. But for me to do that, you have to do something for me: Stay active and do your best. Our motto is: "with the dedication of excellence, perfection becomes habit", well perfection is what I'd like every one of you to strive for with my assistance.

News

Two new courses have been released in the SA: DB History II and CSP History. I would suggest that everyone takes the CSP history course. It's always a good idea to know about our past.

The Fist has a couple of competitions planned for the end of this month/start of next month that anyone who has interest in could start getting some practise in. One features a space flight/combat simulator called Allegiance (download it at www.freeallegiance.org), and the other features a squad based shooter called Alien Swarm, which can be downloaded on Steam. Both games are free to download.

The wiki is going through a major revamp at the moment, so if your article is removed from a category for any reason, do not re-add yourself to it. The wiki staff will get around to sorting it out in due time.

Current Competitions

SA Comps The "Write" Stuff The Headmaster is running a competition for the DB membership to write their own SA exam. 1st Level Crescents will be awarded. Ends August 25.

Voice Comps Load the Can(n)ons #1 Each month you will be given a canon character to write a battle against this character. This month the character is Luke Skywalker (circa 11 ABY, Formation of the New Jedi Order). Minimum 2 pages, 12 pt font. 1st Level Crescents will be awarded. Ends August 31.

Other Realm, Part 1 [Fiction] Sith "magic" has managed to connect different realms together. That power has found you and pulled you through your computer into the DB world. Detail what happens to you when you come face-to-face with your DB character and others in the DB. 2nd Level Crescents will be awarded. Ends 15 August.

Other Realm, Part 1 [GFX] Create a graphic depicting the first meeting between yourself and your DB character. 2nd Level Crescents will be awarded. Ends 15 August.

Fist Comps Bash the Gaming Staff Choose a DB approved game and challenge the Fist (Ma'ar) or Fremoc to a match. Either 1st or 2nd Level Crescents will be awarded depending on how many people take part. Ends 31 August.

RC Smash Up Republic Commando Singles games. CoFs awarded as standard, 3rd Level Crescents awarded for 1st-3rd on win-loss ratio, PoB for the best win-loss ratio. Ends 7 August.

Star Craft 2 Time Singles or team matches for Star Craft 2. 3rd Level Crescents for the top 3 win-loss ratio, CoFs awarded as standard. Ends 7 August.

JO Smash Up Singles or team matches for Jedi Outcast. 8th-11th August Gun or Bryars only; 12th-14th August Sabers only. 3rd Level Crescents for best win-loss ratio, CoFs as standard, PoB for best win-loss ratio.

Projects I've got a few projects in mind that I want to put into motion soon. I'll release details when I start work on them. I'll probably get a few of you to assist on them once I get them off the ground.

I'm thinking of starting a run-on in the next week or two, so keep an eye out for details on that.

As you've probably noticed, my report is looking quite plain. If any of you would like to make some for me, I'll see that you're suitably awarded.
