Report #2, August 8th 2010

I think it’s safe to say that I have a lot more to talk about in this report than my previous one, as I’ve now (With the help from my trusted Summit) gotten my feet on the ground and running. Oh yes, it’s now time for your favorite Taldryan Report.

To start off I’ll mention and in case you haven’t noticed: My completely sexy Report Graphics (gfx for all of your n00bs =]). Anubis AKA Zaren Morgoth (lotr nerd?) was gracious enough to create the shield and text scheme that is the base of the headers and give it to me in a .psd format so I could tweak them to my own specifications. I think they are splendid and it was a nice team-effort he and I had working on them, bouncing ideas off of each other.

On another note, I decided to go ahead and drop my IC Character’s last/surname and keep it short and sweet: Shaz’air Taldrya. I’ve never been more than a two-name person, despite how many times I’ve tried to convince myself otherwise. =P So with that, I am now formally Shaz’air Taldrya, Quaestor of House Taldryan… but you can all call me Sid, still. Except Howie, because he’s cruel. </3

Now moving onto some more exciting news: The Kr’Tal system has been under the works for some time now, though it’s been rather under-undercover in terms of people in the know about it… which is exactly how we wanted it to be. But first, for all of you who don’t know: The Kr’Tal system is one of the two systems under the domain of Taldryan and is our most used in terms of fiction (Following closely behind is our Rybanloth system).

It’s been a while since these pages were touched last and well, they needed an update. So, with that, I’d like to officially introduce the updated Kr’Tal system! Link to the sexiness: HERE.

Moving onto news posts, both Tarentum and Plageuis QUA reports were released earlier this week. Feel free to go check out the DJB news for those. It’s always a good idea to read up on what the other units are doing, just as much as it is to read the Dark Council’s reports and news posts.

-The Voice of the Brotherhood released his 6th report, and man is it along one. Link: HERE. Explains the Wiki Audit that is in the happening, and goes into some other detail on the ACC and the winners of July’s Fiction competitions!

-Windos also released a report, and our very own Anubis and Ben got some nice Wiki awards! Congrats guys. Here’s the link to the Wiki report: HERE.

-Added along is a Headmaster Report, in which Taig introduces the new DB History II. Take a look at the link HERE.

-And last, but certainly not least, the Smoke has released his latest report last week, which you can find HERE. Loads of competitions happening for the Gaming Community, and tons of medals to be had!

<li> We have a very special Announcement today, and that is the first ever, Knighting in House Taldryan. The Taldryan Summit has called forth*Rian Aslar* to take up the rank of Dark Jedi Knight, and with the blessing of the Dark Council and Master At Arms, he has been received into Knighthood! Congratulations, Rian! Well earned and more than deserved. I encourage everyone who wishes to get DJK, or if you want to know what excellence is to take a look at Rian’s Rec’. <li>Our Old Folks Home and favorite wearer of the boot, Benevolent Taldrya Whiner snagged himself 30 CF’s and a Crescent with an Amethyst star for placing first in JO Team. Yeah, he’s still got it in him. <li>Alexander Anderson earned himself a blazing 1 Cluster of Fire for matches in JA. Gotta start adding them up somewhere, eh? Great job, Xander. <li>Our in House nub, Annie Oakley AKA Anubis AKA Zaren Morgoth received a fantastic Dark Side Scroll for work on the Wiki from Windos. There’s more to come Anubis when you work hard, so keep it up! <li>Rian Aslar also placed 2nd in the Bounty Competition added onto his DJK promotion. Kepe racking up the Doss’ points Rian!

So, it’s been fun putting together the stuff to get Taldryan running smoothly after the shift in leadership and the closing of the Clan. It’s been fun in the way that I have been able to get a grasp on how things are working out, how’re they’re going to work out, and how I can best help you guys with improvement in all areas.

Some Projects I have going right now, are mostly Fiction based, and I’d like to share them with you.

House Projects

<li> First off, since gaining our Clan Powers at the end of Unification, there’s been no development on those powers what so ever other than the fact that we have them on our Character Sheet. So, I’m starting to delve into that Fictionally and make it more practical to our Houses needs.

<li> Work out Taldryan’s Armed Forces situation and bring that up to speed, creating articles for the Wiki and making sure everyone is aware of what we have for when the Vendetta comes along. <p> <li> Securing a well placed Battleteam and expand when needed. This Project is an ongoing one, yet we’ll be seeing the first fruits of it by the end of my report. <p>

There are some other goals I am going to start working on, though I have one nice Personal goal that I’m going to be juggling through the Clan’s needs, and that is a well written Character Wiki/History. I’ve put this off for far too long. And what kind of example am I if I don’t even have my own Fiction up to par? </p><p>

So that’s where we are for projects. If anyone feels they can hop onto one of these projects, please feel free to contact myself and Vodo and we’ll put you to work as soon as possible. Also, Anubis has been a huge help in the Armed Forces project so far, so give him a big hand for trudging through that.</p><p>

Up next, we have the long awaited (Long? Two weeks is long, man) awaited announcement of the Phoenix Battleteam Leader position. This member turned in the best application with great ideas and a really nice plan to take over the battleteam with one foot forward. This applicant is none other than Dark Jedi Knight Rian Aslar. I have worked with Rian before, and he is no newby in regards to how a good battleteam should run, so please give it up to him for securing this position. Now, get to work Rian! A shout out, while here, to the other two applicants who applied. You know who you are, and I will keep you both in mind for future positions, should we need them; thank you for applying. </p><p>

I took the liberty of taking a leaf from back when Vodo was CON. After some thought, I’ve decided to tweak the Ektrosis Missions Statement (Slightly, though not much) and apply it to our Clan. This is the missions statement I swore to keep up with in Ektrosis as QUA and I continue to strive towards this as QUA of Taldryan now, and I hope you will too. </p><p>

The Statement is as follows: “House Taldryan Shall be an open threshold for those who pursue excellence in Leadership and Activity. With the banner of Taldryan before us we will prove our Strength and Ingenuity throughout the Brotherhood upon every platform that creates this great club.” This statement will be at the bottom of each report.</p><p>

Lastly, the Phoenix Battleteam has a big fat “Vacancy” sign on it, and we need tenants! With that, I am officially opening up Phoenix for members. If you wish to join the Battleteam, email myself, Vodo and Rian (Your BT) with your name and PIN with a good reason for why you should be allowed into Taldryan’s top BT, and I will then add you to the Roster. All are welcome, so don’t hesitate! Lots to be had fictionally with this, and Rian is an outstanding leader. I look forward to seeing the emails flood into my mail-box requesting to be placed into Phoenix!
