<div align="left"> _ Deva looked deceptively insignificant against the backdrop of the galaxy. But to the keen eye of the Obelisk Jedi Knight, however, it displayed not only a source of great power but also a significant point in his life. A shiver ran over his skin. What if he fails? He turned his view away from the canopy heading for the back area of the shuttle. He seated himself in on of the bucket seats and ignited his magenta blade searching for focus in the pure light of it while he held it close in front of his eyes, but nothing happened.

A couple of minutes later the shuttle settled down on the landing platform of the hidden stronghold once used by Phoenix Phyle. After the lamp was lowered the entire Battleteam stepped out of the craft some of them haven't been here for several years, others never before. The landing pit was almost dark the only light came from the landing lights of their shuttle. As they came closer to the entrance hatch the lights flickered to life and the doors slit open. Together they strode through the hallways the two daughters of Taldrya leading them. It took the possession a couple of minutes to reach their destination, a large stone door rich of ornaments. Behind it was a big ceremony hall, in its centre was a circle carved in floor, and in that circle was carved a phoenix that spread its fiery wings. "We need to prepare for the ritual, relax until we call for you." Alanna said. Half an hour later the 3 Krath of the Battleteam finished the preparations and called Rian their Tetrach to undress and take place in front of the carved circle. For a last time he caught up the view of the other who replied with a confirming nod. Aslar started to recite the words of the ancient ritual. Incessantly he repeated the same syllables again and again. With every recitation he felt more power compiling in the middle of the carved phoenix. The contours carved in floor started glowing in a decent blue. Then the blue glow disappeared, but the power was still there. With sweaty hands Rian spoke the final words of the recitation. A pillar of white flame jumped upwards from the circle in the floor, its heat beaded the Obelisk forehead in sweat. He felt its infernal heat all over his body. The others started chanting. The voices of them filled Rian's mind with words from the Litany of Phoenix Phyle, with the prayer to Phoenix. His own voice joined them. They began chanting faster and faster until there voices became one. Finally he took the last step into the flame. Momentarily he was fully covered by it. Without stopping to chant he willingly opened himself to the searing heat of the flame. In return the flame willfully seared his hair, burned down his skin and flesh away from his bones until only his skeleton remained in a carbonized form._

Member Activity

<div align="left"> So let's take a look at your shinies (throwing medals around). First Zaren: before he stepped up he actually shown us what it means to be active, he received 8 Clusters of Fire, 3 Dark Side Scrolls and passed 2 Shadow Academy exams in only a couple of days. Also there we have Sena, he has placed first in the fiction part of the "Other Realms Part II" competition, next one Raiju, you placed first in the Phoenix related Trivia as well as in the second round of Sid's "Ben's Boot" competition, so one Crescent with Topaz Star and one Legion of the Scholar for you. Last but not least myself, I have placed 2nd in the "Load the Can(n)ons 1" competition. That is a pretty good result but I know there is much more you can do so keep up that already good work.
