_Xantros looked at through the window of his new office, located on Ptolemea. He was just transfered from the Battleteam Dorimad Sol to the Battleteam Caliburnus. He was appointed its new Battleteam Leader, after resignation of Epis Impetus M'nar, who led the unit previously.

Xantros smiled with satisfaction. It was his first real command position in the Dark Brotherhood. He was chosen from many fine candidates to lead Caliburnus. He had fine predecessor. It was a challenge...an honour...

It was going to be difficult task to meet the requirements and expectation of both his superiors and subordinates. However, he had plans for Caliburnus. He hoped that he was ready to make them come true. Even more...he was sure that with support of other members of Caliburnus and of the House Summit, he was going to make Caliburnus stronger than ever before._

Welcome to my first report as the Commander of Caliburnus! There are few things that I wish to tell you at this point, though more details on some of these issues will come later.

Introduction

Let me introduce myself, before we move on. I am Dark Jedi Knight Xantros and I came from the Battleteam Dorimad Sol. I joined the DB eight months and couple of days ago. So far, I have been Sith Flight Leader of the Battleteam Blades of Chaos, in former House Dorimad Sol, for couple of weeks.

On the other hand, I have been member of Emperor's Hammer, including Hammer's Fist ( Stormtroopers ) and EHDB, for over seven years. I have served on numerous command positions there. This allows me to say I have some leadership experience to make good use of.

Still, I am fully aware that leadership here is a bit different than out there. It shall be brand new experience for me and I hope to learn much during my stay here.

In real life, I am student of management, with specialisation in Human Resources. Couple months ago, I graduated from bachelor degree in management and marketing. I will try to implement my knowledge in more practical dimension, as the leader of Caliburnus.

Leadership Policy

I have open-door policy. You can come to me with any matter, issue, doubt, question, comment, idea or anything you wish to discuss. I even encourage you to do this, especially if you have critic comments on my service. I wish to hear them from you, not from the House Summit or anyone else, because I cannot judge if you are right. As a result, I cannot improve the issue you do not like, if you are right.

As far as making decisions and plans is concerned, I am strong supporter of co-operation between us. We play in the same team and I do not see a reason we would ne to fight each other. Though final decisions will be made by me and the House Summit, I wish to listen to your opinions and concerns, so we can make Caliburnus better place to have fun. I wish that we all discuss all important matters, so we may come up with some common ideas and decisions.

I shall post my reports twice a month. They will include information about current competitions, which I wish you to take part in, and other important stuff for us. Also, I shall describe 'Key Issues' which I would like to emphasize as crucial for development of Caliburnus, in each report.

Communication

As I said before, I have an open-door policy. You can always come to me, if you want to discuss about something DB-related or just to chat with me. You can get in touch with me in three ways: -Via e-mail - I try to reply to all e-mails in 24 hours. In most cases 48 hours turnaround time the worst scenario. -On IRC - I am present on the following DB channels - #db, #scholae #dorimadsol - on a daily basis, usually for couple of hours, in various times of day, but mostly on afternoons and evenings (GMT +2 ) -Via DB forums - it works a bit like an e-mail to me, so 24 hours turnaround usually and 48 hours turnaround, when more busy.

Plans

I have several plans for Caliburnus. Certainly, if you have any ideas, I am more than willing to listen to you, so we can discuss and decide whether your ideas are good for the Battleteam and whether it is possible to bring them live. Also, if you have any thoughts about the plans, I already have, please let me know.

-Working over Caliburnus lore - there are few things I would like to discuss with you about Caliburnus history, possessions and profiles. For instance, we need to deal with issue of lightsaber Caliburnus, which according to Wiki, must be reworked or removed. I have also some competitions, which shall be good source of background information about the Battleteam, in mind. More details in coming days. -Wiki editing - there are some updates that Wiki articles about Caliburnus require minor or major updates. I believe that I can handle minor updates, but I will need help with some bigger ones. More details in couple of days. -Recruitment campaign - I would like to increase number of people in our House and, more specifically, in our Battleteams. While I shall deal with internal recruitment, we all must work over recruiting people from outside the Dark Brotherhood. Again, more details in couple of days. -Competitions - I am going to run two competitions per month solely for Caliburnus, apart from the times, when there would be important events that are really worth taking part in. -Members contact - I am going to contact each of you in couple of days, so I can determine several things, I need to know. Please, reply to the e-mail, you will receive as soon as possible, because few things depend on your answers. -Monthly Meetings - I would like to introduce new tradition in Caliburnus, named Monthly Meetings. They shall be held once a month, on a weekend. Exact time to be discussed, when it comes to the first meeting. Also, more details about this issue shall be released in couple of days. -Regain status of House - Definitely, it is the most difficult, the most demanding and the most time consuming goal or plan of all. There are different ways to achieve it and we shall discuss them in close future. Do not worry, no matter of all, I am not going to secede from House Scholae Palatinae :)

Current issues

There are few things I would like to point out at this moment.

-We all received 'strange' e-mails from the Aedile. As you possibly conjecture, we are going to have a House-wide event in very close future. Get prepared for it as much as possible! -Remember about the AWOL Check! Follow the instructions from Master-At-Arms to remain in the HSP. -There are numerous competitions from me, awaiting for the House event to be finished. They shall help you develop your character's background stories ( especially profitable for Journeymen! ) -There are several competitions both from Voice and Fist. Go to the Competition Center and take part in these competitions! There are awards and Prestige just to grab them! -Unfortunately, I got ill a day after getting appointed, so please accept my apologise for late report. It will slow down progress in my works. Still, I am going to work over the most important things for Caliburnus. -I will be contacting each of you in close future to gain information I require. Also, Battleteam-wide discussion about future of Caliburnus will start soon.

Final thoughts

What we definitely require is increasing number of our members, both in the Battleteam and in the House. I strongly encourage everyone to devote some time to this issue. If you cannot recruit directly, maybe you have some idea what to do or may prepare some propaganda stuff? Give it a try!

I hope we will co-operate in harmony and that there will be no major conflicts between us. I am sure that together, we can do much to make Caliburnus and Scholae Palatinae better place, having great fun and enjoying it ourselves.

Xantros smiled to his own thoughts. Definitely, the future seemed to be very interesting and exciting. There was much to do, but Xantros was willing to face this challenge. He only hoped that he would be able to lead Caliburnus to undeniable glory and power, helping it regain status of House again. It was definitely a goal worth making great efforts. Only then, he could rest and leave Caliburnus to serve other units. Still, it did not mean that he had to achieve it personally. There were numerous ways to achieve it indirectly. No matter of all, he was not going to fail...neither his subordinates and superiors... nor himself.
