Hey there, folks. A bit of an update for you.

News

Standard Stuff The DJBWiki's active users continue to remain steady. This always makes me/my staff happy, since it keeps us busy doing stuff as well. As you all know, Windos received a Ruby Scepter for his work as Tribune and Aedile of House Odan-Urr. There's still lots of stuff to do, so make sure that you keep eye out. There's no harm in correcting grammatical and spelling errors on other people's pages if you see them.

New Deputy Grand Master and Affect on the DJBWiki With Halc's appointment to the position of Deputy Grand Master, the Dark Council position Voice of the Brotherhood has opened up. I'm somewhat sad about this, actually. I really enjoyed talking with Halcyon about character articles and their realism, pwning people who did something stupid, that sort of stuff. Plus, now he's one of my two bosses. Damn. :P He was a perfect fit for the position, and ensured that his predecessor would be well on his way to bringing articles within the borders of DJB canon. I look forward to working with the next Voice of the Brotherhood, as well as his staff.

Project: DJBWiki Awards Restructure

As you know, I've been blabbering on for months about how I'm going to restructure the DJBWiki Awards and put down a set of rock-solid guidelines for them, so you know exactly what you have to do in order to get X amount of awards, after you've gotten X amount of a certain type. Well (and you certainly won't believe this), that day has come today. Not too long ago (I can count on one hand how many days it's been) Windos sent me a little list of what he's been going by when he awards them. Using his personal guidelines, I plan on creating a set that will be well laid-out and have very little errors. I've started thinking about how much work I want users to do in order to get each award, and I have some pretty good ideas so far.

I'm hoping to have a basic set of guidelines up by the end of this month, with a more in-depth version (dubbed version 'Awesome') being released by the end of April. Sounds like a plan, don't it? Sure does to me.

Tips for Tools

Remember to use the 'Show Preview' feature when you edit articles, to avoid making many minor edits. It keeps the staff happy (not only does it clog up the Recent Changes page, but makes for more edits to patrol. In some cases, that's good. Others, not so much.

Short report this month; not a lot to report on, really. The DJBWiki continues to grow, which keeps us all happy.
