I would like to announce the first competition in the Operation: Hardware competitions to come. This competition involves the creation of a blaster of some kind. The details of it can be found here. The first thing I would like to point out is that I strongly recommend people read the details on the competition first. The rewards for this competition are 1st level crescents and the opportunity to have your creation displayed for the DB. I look forward to seeing what everyone comes up with.

I would also like to point out something that I had mentioned in a later report. When it comes to lightsabers, I am lenient towards most ideas members come up with, however if it is something that would not work on a technical scale or something that is beyond reasonable, i.e. an umbrella lightsaber, then expect it to get denied. The reason I do this is because of the fictional aspect of the lightsaber. It would be extremely difficult for someone to effectively use a saber that was either too short or too off-the-wall, ahem*Orv*ahem. :P. I will be writing a section up on the Wikipedia to help people out, as well as do a site sweep to make sure things are legit.

Now, let's get the sexiness under way.

Donos and Eiko ask: "What programs do you use and where can you find them?"

I use Corel Draw 12, (part of Corel Graphics Suite 12), as well as Adobe Photoshop CS2. When I initially got Corel and Photoshop, I was fortunate to be living with Muz and Ashia at the time and received the programs for free. Since then, Corel has given me some issues and I have had to purchase a copy of it. Luckily, the copy cost around $20. Interesting enough, I found it on eBay and got a major deal.

While the programs we use are a little outdated, the biggest thing is getting familiar with it and getting creative with its uses. If enough people have it, I may consider looking at doing a tutorial on the program to help people with familiarizing themselves with it.

The majority of members ask: "Possessions!?!?!?"

Ah... Possessions. What's interesting about possessions is there's a lot of work we have finished and a lot of work we haven't finished. One aspect of the system has been finished but we still got a bit more to work on, while Orv has laid out a pretty kick ass foundation for us. While I know what all is going on from my end, there's a lot of detail I don't know or I am not allowed to release. Just know we're making progress on this and just as excited as you all are.
