Thank you for tuning into another breaking news report from DNN. We continue coverage today of the ongoing conflict on San Korinar. The Dlarit Navy has established a blockade of the city. We can only get close enough to see that most of the major ships of the navy are involved. No one is being allowed in or out right now. Our sources tell us that special operatives have been sent in and the situation is under control.

The Corporation has declined further comment, but we’ll keep you updated through the conclusion of this conflict. At this point, our analysts suspect the conflict will be resolved quickly.

With the AWOL check now over, our numbers have decreased, but we still have many members going strong, and I’m proud to be working with you all. If you’re seeing this and got AWOL’d by mistake, you can go to your administration page and select “Request Unit Transfer” on the right to transfer back into Clan Naga Sadow and House Shar Dakhan.

As far as the Great Jedi War is concerned, we still don’t have a definite date. Right now we’re probably looking at the second half of September, but nothing is set in stone.

Closing Pandora’s Box, our two-week event, is currently running. You have until midnight Monday night (8/15/11, that’s tonight) to submit to week one competitions. Week two events begin Tuesday. The team run-on lasts through the second week, till the end of the entire event. Its off to a great start. You all have through the 22nd of this month to get your competition submissions in for the event, and close out your Run-ons. Even if you haven’t started your Run-on yet, its not too late to begin now and finish strong!

Right now, I’ve been helping to put together Closing Pandora’s Box, as well as work on fiction for the House’s background. Since House Shar Dakhan is such a new House, it has a lot of room for development. The Dakhani Corsairs and the resort projects progressing on Aeotheran are two examples of our House’s lore that I hope to expand on in the coming weeks. I’m fully prepared to work on both, but I’d rather get you all involved, so if there is time between the current event and the Great Jedi War, I’ll probably be releasing competitions that involve writing a wiki article on an aspect of our lore or otherwise helping to shape the future of the House. I feel like everyone in the House should have the opportunity to contribute and add their own touch.

Like last month, we’ve been doing great in this department. My inbox has been absolutely flooded with award notifications, and that’s what I love to see. If we keep this up for the Great Jedi War, we’re going to have a great showing. Keep up the good work, House Shar Dakhan!

Since Mirado’s last report, Creon has participated in the Shadow Academy (including obtaining another Dark Maven), earned a medal for a competition, gamed, and posted in the Run-On. He’s shown himself capable in a variety of activities in the Brotherhood, and continues to show a high level of activity. I’d like to give you a shout-out for all the stuff you’ve done lately, Creon!

Remember guys, even if you have no game systems or aren’t a great writer, you can always participate in competitions or the event and still place and have fun. There’s also the Shadow Academy. The Shadow Academy is a wealth of knowledge and general information. This past couple of weeks, Cyril has proven that its possible to be active without posting often in the Run-On or owning any games.

There are a total of twenty open competitions going right now that applies to us. Considering that Closing Pandora’s Box is listed as one, there are actually even more opportunities to participate.

Unrest in the City, 8/11 : This month, you can earn Clusters of Ice for participating in our continuous Run-on, whether through developing your character, advancing one of the multiple plotlines, or both. Click for details!

Though nothing is going on with it here, I am going to mention Mirado’s “A String of Fortune”. At the moment, there are no competitions going for it, but keep an eye out for them after Closing Pandora’s Box ends on the 22nd.
