New Tython Arcona Forward Operating Base

Marick grimaced as two more soldiers on stretchers were carted over to the medical tent. As his boots crunched across the brittle grass, the acting General of Arcona's New Tython Occupation Force glanced around at the once majestic wilderness of New Tython. What had once been a lush canopy of green trees was now a smoldering waste, the stench of charred flesh, explosive residue and foliage hanging stagnantly in the air. Arcona had begun to withdraw its troops piece by piece, most notably Celahir and the members of Soulfire Striketeam. Wuntila had also been summoned back to the citadel to assume his new role of Consul, leaving Marick behind to lead the remaining forces.

It had been over a month since the Tenth Great War had ended. Over a month since two of Arcona's greatest had given their lives for the sake of their clan. Marick could see the explosion that swallowed Zandro and Sashar Arconae as well as the entire Mandalorian reinfrocements playing back in his mind.

_ Wuntila looked out of the LAAT/i he was standing in and surveyed the city that was flashing past as the craft high-tailed it out of the combat zone. He felt the presence of someone coming up behind him but didn't turn around, his view never leaving the vista outside the transport.

"We're out of range now."

The statement by Talos was followed by a moment of silence before the order came.

"Tell the fleet to open fire."

"What?!" Teroch's shout echoed through the compartment as he stormed over to his Proconsul. "They're still in the city, they won't have enough time to get out. You're going to kill them!"

Still the blue-skinned humanoid stared out at the city, his face set. "I know."

Marick shook the memory clear and made his way to the command tent. Sashar had been one of the closest things Marick had to a father. He had taken the young and naive Hapan under his wing and showed him the ropes. It was Sashar that had inspired his choice to use a shoto, had trained him in the importance of Soresu. It was Sashar who made him more than a simple assassin, but into one of the premier Shadesworn of the Shadow Clan. Zandro had also been a constant fixture in his career - reliable and always present to help with anything. Without them, Marick felt empty, as if a piece of his heart was simply missing.

As Marick entered the command tent, Invictus looked up from a holo-map and offered a nod to his Quaestor. "Incoming call from Selen, sir," the cerulean skinned Aedile explained as he tapped a few buttons on the console to bring up a holographic image of Wuntila Arconae.

The Consul's towering frame was evident even through the projected image. His voice was unmistakable, calm and unshaken despite the massive stress on his shoulders. It had been he, after all, who had ordered the orbital bombardment, sending his own brothers to their deaths. As Marick had learned through this war, sacrifice was part of being a leader.

Marick. I've been reading your reports. Excellent work so far with the NTOF."

Thank you, sir, the General replied evenly as he clasped his hands behind his back.

I have pressing business to announce, though. I have spoken with the Dark Council and they have given me their blessing. Effective immediately, I'm appointing you Proconsul of Clan Arcona

The members scattered about the tent--Ronovi, Solus, and Sanguinius most notably--all turned their attention to Marick. The Prelate hid his reaction well behind a stoic visage, his eyes staring back at the holographic Consul. Marick had known that Wuntila had been planning this. It was, in his opinion, the only logical course of action.

It was funny, really, how barely a year ago he was humble Battleteam Leader, content with leading his small group and serving Arcona. He had fought tirelessly against becoming the Quaestor of Qel-Droma, but had yielded out of sense of duty. He remembered vividly explaining to the Arconae that Quaestor was his limit, but, again, the universe had seen it fit to decide what his path would be.

Even from the grave, Sashar, you still manage to control my fate.

Yet somewhere deep in the recessions of his mind, Marick knew that this had always been his path. Everything that had happened from the second he stepped foot in Arcona was leading up to this very moment. The Prelate looked around at his loyal friends, brothers and sisters standing around him. They all believed in him, and for the first time since joining the Brotherhood, Marick was unafraid of stepping up and doing what was best for the Clan.

"It is an honor to serve Arcona and you, your excellency," Marick replied as he bowed his head to the holographic Consul.

Wuntila let out grin, a rare expression considering the grim times they faced.

"Invictus," The Theelin-hybrid said, moving down his agenda list. "Like myself, you were not born Arconan. However, your loyalty, dedication, and passion have helped lead Arcona to victory in this war. Without your aid, this could have very easily tipped in their favor. As such, I am appointing you the new Quaestor of House Qel-Droma."

Marick and Invictus exchanged sidelong glances, and the Hapan offered a slight smile.The older Chiss nodded and then dropped to one knee before the holo-communicator. "I humbly accept this honor, your Excellency."

The holographic Consul's smile faded back into an impassive line. "There will also be some changes taking effect immediately. Talos will be stepping down as Aedile of Galeres."

The whole room exchanged glances and murmurs, but each had known what Talos had to take care of. It was not a task he could accomplish as Aedile. Marick clasped his hands once again behind his back and nodded.

"We have also been awarded spoils of war by the Dark Council. Details are being sent to your PDA. Wuntila, out."

The holo-projected image flickered away. Marick turned to the rest of the occupants of the tent, all of which dropped to one knee and bowed their heads.

"All hail, his honor, Proconsul Marick Del'Abbot," Invictus said, the rest of the tent echoing his words.

The newly appointed Proconsul shifted uneasily on his feet. It was going to take time getting used to that title.

Arcona Citadel Selen

Prelate Talos Erinos stared at the lithe female before him; Jedi Huntress Socorra, attach of the Lord Consul, arguably one of the most prodigious Journeymen ever to grace Clan Arcona's halls and his apprentice. The Master and Apprentice had just concluded sparring with training lightsabers, the result of which would have left Talos short a hand, had the combat been real. The Huntress had come leaps and bounds since the pair had been back on Selen; two weeks ago, Talos could disarm and his apprentice within thirty seconds of the spar commencing.

There was no doubt. She was ready.

That will be all, apprentice. Return to your quarters you'll find your next task there"

Without a word in reply, Jedi Huntress Socorra bowed to her Master and left the cavernous training room. Talos watched her go with the mixed emotions of pride and regret. Their time had come to an end, he knew, as had his time in the spotlight of Clan Arcona. Developments in the Mid-Rim concerning Dash Kuatir, the arch-nemesis of the Erinos Clan, and the late Sashar Arconae in particular, were drawing his mind away from his duties.

"Shes ready. I can teach her no more," Talos said to the empty room.

"I know," replied a deep baritone. From behind a marble pillar emerged Wuntila Zratian Entar, the Consul-Apparent of the Shadow Clan, the First Clan.

Talos turned to his friend and mentor and gave the Dragon of Selen a small smile that didn't quite reach his eyes. The nerf in the room had to be addressed.

My work here is done, Wuntila, you know what I ask."

Wuntila dipped his head once in acknowledgement. "Your request is granted, Talos. Go, go and show him no mercy."

Obelisk Prelate Talos Erinos dropped to one knee in a show of gratitude and respect before rising and, in a fashion similar to his apprentice's, left the room without another word. But resting on the ground where he had just knelt was the badge of House Aedile.

The door to Socorra's chambers slid open to reveal a quaint room with minimal decoration. On the lone table in the room sat a silver, rectangular box. Socorra bit her lip as she moved towards the box, running her fingers over the cool brushed metal to find a clasp. She flicked it with her finger and opened the box, revealing the cylindrical hilt of a lightsaber. Her face lit up with pride as she gently lifted the hilt out of the box, turning it over in her hand to study its design. She realized then, where she had seen it. It had been Talos' old saber, the one he had used before reaching the rank of Prelate. She choked back a few tears of joy as she hugged the saber hilt close to her body.

She would not let her former Master down.

Greetings, and welcome to my first report as Proconsul. I'd first like to thank each and every one of you who either wrote a recommendation for me, or threw your weight behind my candidacy. Your support has made taking this job a lot easier, and it gives me no greater pride than to be given the opportunity to represent you as not just a leader of a single House, but of the entire Clan.

I'd also like to take this time to thank both Talos Erinos and Timeros for the dedication and work they've put into being leaders in Arcona. It has been a true privilege getting to work with you guys, and your work will continue to effect Arcona for years to come.

As I've stated in all of my Quaestor Reports: I am here for you guys. If you need something, never be afraid to come talk to me. I have every single messaging service you can think of; GTalk, AIM, MSN, IRC, Yahoo, WhatsApp, ect. I also will maintain an under-8 hour turn around on any e-mail I receive. The only time this might change is if my phone battery dies while I'm working, or if I'm doing that thing people call "sleeping." I've heard it's what normal people get to do.

Regardless, there should never be an excuse of not being able to contact me. Again, I am here for you guys, not to listen to myself talk. My open door policy remains unchanged.

• Effective immediately, Invictus is the Quaestor of House Qel-Droma. 'Vic has more than proved himself in his short time with Arcona. It's hard to believe he's not native to us. His loyalty and dedication to getting things done is a tribute to his unbreakable work ethic. There are NO other hands I'd rather leave my House to.

• Due to real life circumstances, Talos will be stepping down as Aedile of House Galeres. For similar reasons, Timeros will also be stepping down from his incumbent position as Rollmaster. Applications for both will be opened today, and run until Thursday, December 8th.

With these moves, we have a vacancy for both Aedile positions for Galeres and Qel-Droma. We are looking for motivated, hard working individuals who are looking to learn from two very experienced Quaestors. We are also in need of a new Rollmaster. We will begin accepting applications today and will leave them open until Thursday, the 8th. ALL Applications will be Brotherhood-wide. Here is what we'll be looking for:

• Aiding the Quaestor in an array of tasks pertaining to the general management of Clan Arcona

• Membership management

• Regular reports

• A working relationship with the Clan Summit and House Summits

• A strong rapport and working relationship with the Clan Members

• Organising and implementing changes and updates in Clan Arcona general/fictional development

• Punctual representation

• Assertive Behaviour

• A basic understanding of Arcona and its general politics.

What we expect to see in your applications:

• What qualities you have as a person

• 72 hour maximum e-mail turnaround, with a preference of 24 hours or less.

• A detailed 30/60/90 Plan for what you intend to do during your tenure as Aedile.

• Your personal achievements (including any medals you deem worthy enough to include) and abilities.

• Your leadership track record (if applicable).

• What you can bring to the table in Clan Arcona.

• How you believe you can fulfill all of the criteria listed above.

• IRC presence is imperative.

All applications are to be sent to the relevant Quaestor, CC'ing Wun, Muz, Halc and I.

As for ROLLMASTER

Same criteria as above but with a preferable minimum rank of Jedi Hunter or above. The Rollmaster is actually on the same level as a Quaestor, and more important because of the focus on the new members. Please include any work done in either a mentor role or in assistance with new members.

• With the spoils of war, a new Battleteam has been opened within House Qel-Droma: Void Squadron. We have selected Solus Gar as Flight Leader of the new Battleteam, with Sanguinius moving to his second seat as XO. Solus Gar is one of the many heros of the GJW, and I have no doubts Void Squadron will be in good hands. Look for more details about Void Squadron in a BTL report as well as Invictus' first report as Quaestor.

• With Sang leaving to help aid Slagar, we have selected Socorra as the new Battleteam leader of Shadow Gate. Socorra has proven herself through her lighting fast ascension to Knighthood, as well as her ability to stay active and drive those around her to do the same. I expect all of you to give her the same respect you'd give any of your other Summit. Congratulations, Socorra.

• On top of his P:MAA, BTL, and Arconae Duties, our beloved Dash (Teroch Erinos) has also taken the mantle of Combat Master. ph33r.
