Hello and welcome to my first Quaestor report this time around, I apologise for making you guys and girls wait so long for it but unfortunately, I’ve had to wait for the Dark Council to get back to me about my Aedile choice. So I was mean and decided to hold onto the report until I got the okay.

Let’s get this report started with Clan News.

Clan News

First off, the Family Feud has come to an end with a crushing victory for the Entar family and their supporters. I’m extremely happy about the number of Galereans who participated, showing the upper summit what Galeres can do. However, I’m always looking for more activity from people. Not because I’m a glory seeking slave driver, but because I want the Brotherhood to see that Galeres and Arcona as a whole, will not go the way of Taldryan in being largely inactive except for GJWs.

While I’m still on the Family Feud, many congratulations to the top three placements: Ronovi, Socorra and Maaks. I unfortunately came only fourth, but I happily beat Dash and Zandro....GREAT TIMES!!!! Check out the results here: http://goo.gl/zZo5u

Many props to all of you who competed regardless of which side you supported.

Invictus has gotten Project: Redacted up and running, with two teams and several antisocial members (those working by themselves). Look out for the results of that in the future.

I’d also like to direct your attention to the fact that we have a new Clan Rollmaster; Timeros. I’d like to thank all of those who applied for Rollmaster of Galeres, but when I got Timeros’ application through, I would’ve been stupid not to have taken him on at this moment in time. Those who applied, do not worry, I have not forgotten that you exist. With Feta/Etain stepping down due to RL constraints, Timeros bounced back into the spotlight as Wuntila’s minder.

House News

In my last Aedile report, I mentioned Starscream Tactical Solutions, now that my summit has been sorted; I will finally start putting out competitions and fully integrating it into the House’s lore. This is not a radical change; that I assure you of. This is a minor detour, simply differentiating us from Qel-Droma which has taken on the mantle of covert operations. Soulfire Strike Team and Galeres are the best in the Brotherhood, thus I wish to show this by making us having a more overt presence. I guess I should reveal who I’ve chosen to be my Aedile. I had many applications in, surprising me how many people in Arcona want to help improve the Clan and contribute to helping others. Though it was a tough choice, it came down to who I could work with and who would both contribute and learn the most. Bearing that in mind, I decided to pick Balthier mied Demen d’Tana.

Balthier brings a fresh face to the summit, as well as ideas on how to incorporate STS and several other ideas that will be developed. Please give him commiserations, not congratulations when you see him...mainly because he has to put up with me. Thank you to all who applied, you are not forgotten.

To all of you ex-Virtuom members, I hope that the closing of your Battleteam does not cause you too much grief; we will be looking at opening a new Battleteam in the future when activity has picked up. If you participate in competitions and events, who knows...you may be the next BTL.

Lastly, Dash is back as Sgt of Soulfire, Talos stepping down due to RL constraints i.e. having too much fun. It’s good to see Dash back in Soulfire where he belongs.

Brotherhood News

First off, the 5th ACC Championship is underway with Arcona having the most participants by far. So far, the favourites to meet in the Finals are Timeros or Invictus versus Teroch. So I’m hoping we have an Arconan champion. It is awesome to see so many Galereans involved, it makes proud to be your Quaestor. Yet again, we’re dominating in an event. Celevon terrified his opponent so much, that Drodik drew the match rather than fight him. Well done Celevon.

Vodo has announced an Order specific Run On event called Ambition. Signups are being taken until the 5th of March. You need to have a team of five members, all of the same order. We already have two Obelisk teams comprising of Arconans.

The Voice department are also putting out more competitions, check them out. They have a new system of starting new comps every 20 days, but letting them run for a month which gives an overlap for when there are members who have a sudden burst of activity. I do recommend getting involved with these competitions. You can usually get some high level crescents if you do.

Closing thoughts

Having spent the past few days hanging out with Cethgus, Inarya and Zandro has helped me deal with some serious stress issues from work, which has meant that I can now relax and focus on the DB. However, it has also made me largely indifferent regarding Naruto.

With a full summit, Galeres now stands at a forked pathway, where we have to decide which one we go down. Excuse me for sounding like one of those various dickheads you have at work/school/home. (We’ve all got one in our life....if you haven’t, then you’re the dickhead.) But it’s your choice whether Galeres goes inactive, or we regain our former glory and increase activity. The latter is my job, to make you guys more active. Sure, I can throw out competitions left, right and centre, but I want you to WANT to compete, not feel pressured into it.

You guys need to tell me what you want and give me feedback, if you want BHG style competitions, more ACC/ACB competitions, or TOR competitions.

On that note, do expect competitions out in this coming week. If someone wants to make me a Quaestor report header, they will not find me suitably unappreciative.

I was also checking the old Galerean Quaestor reports earlier today and I noticed that my first report the last time I was Quaestor was 2 years ago today. I think that’s pretty awesome, but then I’m easily amused. It’s why I laugh at Wuntila. :P
