Dranik sat at his desk looking down at the computer display built into its surface. The far right hand side of the desk showed basic ship status display and he could easily see that everything was fine on the Corsair for the moment, of course why wouldn’t it be while it was sitting still with maintenance crews going over every inch of the ship. The center of the display however, was filled with basic paperwork, some about the maintenance of the Corsair though most of it was dedicated to military dossiers of potential officers for the different ships in Tarentum’s Military.

Dranik didn’t even look up as a young female officer walked in and placed a printed report on Dranik’s desk before leaving. The Aedile already knew what it was, a simple report of activity of Tarentum’s different assets and their current locations. Dranik turned his attention now more fully upon the information presented in the file about different clan members and their desires to serve the house in its military. He could already see some potential positions to fill with the upcoming restructure but he also knew that a lot of people would not be happy about losing their commands.

Another officer walked into the room and announced that the last of the maintenance team was waiting for his inspection as new Captain before disembarking. Dranik looked up at the woman and just nodded before standing and walking out of the door, not seeming to care that the woman had fallen into step behind him.

*** Aedile Report ***

Yep, it is that time. I actually have a lot of things to report to you all about today so I am going to get the basic things out of the way first.

Competition: Following Days. This competition has official ended now, I would like to thank those who participated in it. First place went to Jason, second to Hazzan, and third was taken by Anshar. Your shinnies are in the mail.

AWARDS: We have had a few rewards to come out since I took Aedile, so here they are. Hazzan got himself a new Steel Cross. Hazzan also got himself a Crescent with Topaz Star. Anshar got himself a Crescent with Topaz Star. Egregious got himself 33 Clusters of Fire (assuming I know how to count). Egregious also got a Dark Cross. Egregious also got a Scroll of Indoctrination.

PROMOTIONS: Egregious was promoted from Guardian to Jedi Hunter. Tenda was promoted from Novice to Acolyte. Pystra was promoted from Apprentice to Novice.

Congratulations to everyone who has earned themselves an award or a promotion.

COMPITION ANNOUNCEMENTS: Okay, two new comps to announce for you all to do now.

Firstly, Anshar is running a competition called A little bit of fandom. This competition will be running for the length of the month in the background behind the other major competition. Now, for the big competition. Anshar and I are running a major story driven competition called Divergence, which is starting now. The first part of the comp has been approved and is open for participation. However, you cannot actually participate in it until you have the information you need. Now, that doesn’t really tell you much, and it is not meant too. You will have to wait for Anshar or myself to give you the details of each event as they are ran. Anshar will be announcing one of the events soon, and I am announcing the other one now.

Competition: Create an Officer This is a simple comp that can earn you 4th level crescents and it is a part of the Divergence story arc. What I want is for you to make an officer for the Tarentum Military. You can make up to three to submit, however you may only make one of the following things: an officer in the army, a naval capital ship commander, executive officer, or a naval junior officer (pilot, weapons officer, squadron commander, etc). Once you have made one of those, any other submissions must be of one of the others. What I want from you is the basic bio information, such as hair color, eye color, height, race, sex, weight etc in LIST form. You can, and should, also write a basic description of the person. I would also like for you to include a short piece on how the person behaves and their disposition and attitudes.

Now, you may only submit one of those, and you can submit up to three. However, submitting more than one will not give you bonus points with the exception of a tie. All entries should be submitted to myself while CCing Anshar and [Log in to view e-mail addresses]. All entries should be in word and your Full ID Line should be in both your email and the document itself. The event will run until 11:59 PM EST on Sunday the 18th of March.

PROJECT REVEAL Now, I have one last thing to bother everyone with. I have been working on a major project, with the help of Hazzan. Over the last week (give or take) we have been reformatting the House Military to make it more available to members that wish to participate in it. Now, it is not just a free ride that you get to say you are in command of something and then you are. You have to let us know, and you will also be required to participate in AT LEAST 4 official competitions a month, at least one of which must be house level.

Now, Tarentum has both an Army and a Navy. If you want to be considered for a command in either branch you need to email me and let me know. Throughout the course of the week I will be filling in the wiki page with people and the command they are being placed in. Now, I cannot promise you that you will get the command you want, sometimes you will have to fictionally and really earn it. I will try to get you close, or at least doing something related.

Now, as you will notice in the policy (linked at the end of this report), members who had command positions in the military have been removed from them. Ranks will be kept on a person to person basis, so if you are wanting to keep your rank in the military you need to email me as well. If I do not hear from you by the end of this week then I will assume you to be inactive.

Now, make note that as of this moment the Command and XO positions of the Magnus Kaerner and the Corsair are not available. The position of DCAG has also been field. However, most of the squadron command positions are still available and don’t forget the Army. Tarentum has a large army for those that might be interested in that line. If you are interested in the Army, you have no need to worry about being used. I can tell you this, in the Divergence story, both branches will see some action.
