"What," demanded Ronovi, "is the meaning of all this noise?"
Solus Gar raised his eyes from the many students gathered around him in the small chamber, a room normally reserved for meetings with the department heads. The dark robed initiates and pupils all visibly shrank away from Ronovi's looming stature and penetrating gaze, their hands clasping the cups that held caf, water, or even alcohol within their metal stomachs.
The Praetor, however, was not fazed.
"Evening, Ronovi," he greeted her, ignoring her scowl. "We were just talking."
"Talking?" repeated the Headmaster. "About what, may I ask?"
"Anything."
Ronovi scanned each participant in this alleged conversation. There had been roars, guttural accusations, and broad claims of logic coming from the room as she traversed the corridor. Now, seeing the flames returning in each student's eyes, she understood why.
He had always wanted a class like this.
She allowed herself a small, coy smile and nodded curtly to Solus before exiting the room.
"Carry on."
In the past month, we have seen the introduction of Debate I: Argumentation in the Docent Halls of the Shadow Academy. While the exam is no easy task, it is the very first step taken into joining the Shadow Academy Debate League. As explained in my last report, the league will host several debate competitions discussing all facets of the Brotherhood and the Star Wars universe. But here's the thing:
In order to join the Shadow Academy Debate League, you have to take both Debate exams we offer.
I know, it may seem like a lot to ask, but think about it. The only way you're going to be properly prepared for the debate competitions is taking the exams and understanding the benchmarks we'll be using in our judgments. The exams will be chock full of information and tips for you to use in the debates, and that way, every contestant will have an equal edge in terms of understanding rhetoric. Think of it as taking the GMRG exam to become a member of the Royal Guard: It's there to prepare you.
The link to Debate I: Argumentation can be found below. Debate II: Refutation has a release date in May.

With the application process for Flight Studies Professor complete, Slagar and I have already decided on our professor and he's already gone quickly to work. The field of applicants was wonderful, and it was extremely difficult to pick someone to take the job. But after much deliberation, I believe we found the best pick for the job.
Please congratulate Archangel on becoming the new Professor of Flight Studies.
This fills up all teaching positions in the Shadow Academy for now, but please remember that I am always happy to accept exam ideas and volunteers to assist us with keeping the Academy polished up and shiny. But for the former, please try to make sure your idea has A. not already been covered and B. enough oomph to create an entire exam and/or department.
In case you guys don't know, I actually have a Formspring account where you can ask me questions about the Shadow Academy and myself. This was a big thing with the Dark Counci last year but kind of puttered out after a while like a fad. However, I'm bringing it back because I find it to be a very efficient way to handle questions so people don't ask me the same thing over and over and over again.
If you're interested in shooting me a question through Formspring, the link to my page is below:

So far, we have had eight Brotherhood members sign up for the 2012 Dark Sage of Writing course. Sign-ups will continue until April 30th. The course will start on May 1st and continue for ten weeks.
This course will involve a lot of writing and some reading from a short text. That said, when you e-mail me with your sign-up, you need to provide a writing sample. Please send it in .txt or .doc format OR send it to me in a Google Document. You all know my e-mail.
I know, not a whole lot in this report, but sometimes there are just months where you do some spring cleaning. Don't worry - I am hard at work with various large projects. The Shadow Academy Debate League is going to be great, and I am drafting a proposal for my "games" idea.
Patience is key here. We are working very hard on long-term projects. It's just that we'd also like to work on what we have as well.
Also, the exam audits are still ongoing. I have my cattle prod ready for any stragglers on my staff. :P
TL;DR:
Also, this is a real school. Parkland High School in Pennsylvania. She can make .5 past light speed.

Congrats Archangel!
That school is amazing. It looks like a pretty nice place.
Well, she's got it where it counts, kid.
That's what she said.
