High Councilor Report 6/9/12 (36 ABY/O ABNT)

Optui Turico Monastary Outside Nundushi- Iwu Gioki Tribal Lands- Twilight

Four robed Harakoan elders stared into the setting star Y’hi as it cascaded ever gradually toward the horizon. At that location where land, and sea meets the sky and the light of Great Father diminishes from there onwards and rests to return light, love and warm in the day to come. The vocal modulations rang out from their throats and crests as they sang a beautiful melancholic lament towards the passing star and welcomed the blueish-purple haze that ever increasingly turned black. Pinholes in the night had already formed and the great constellations of the “Jyiyub” worm and Irieta the Great Hunter dominated the overhead abyss.

Suddenly, the central most Harakoan Turico threw his arms into the sky and prostrated himself onto the massive stone circular floor at the center of the Monastary. He humbled himself at the spontaneous sight overhead and was quickly followed by others, all in the Monastary, Turico Priests and acolytes within threw themselves to the ground in reverence to what they saw appear in the night sky.

Overhead in the cosmic web of stars and other galactic giants, in the constellation known to the Harakoans as Ty’hinoa, the “Guardian”, a massive formation of blue-green violet and yellow churned. The splash was wider than a thumb at arms length. Within the monastery a ‘whooping’ sound could be heard being made by a series of sonant calls.

Thousands of light years away the silent scream of agony from a dying star tore through the celestial neighborhood unleashing energy unparalleled for thousands of years finally reaching present day Harakoa. On the atomic scale trillions and trillions of particles raced off into the void of space accelerated by the ultra-kinetic force of a star gone supernova.

Ok guys, well as you know I’m the new Quaestor…err High Councilor. Anyhoot, it goes without saying (but I’m gonna say it anyway cause that’s how we roll) that we owe Ji a tremendous thank you for his services over the past what, 2 ½ years? Ji (and others) has sunk his entire DB career thus far and integrity into the success and continuity of this house and by god its time that this guy rests and gets his due zzz’s. So Ji, thank you for everything and we know that you’ll still be in house as AED and even after the fact, but you’ll still be missed and utterly appreciated. I can’t kiss anymore ass without making it obvious (er?) so I’m moving on…..to Kaira!

Kaira has also invested herself to the the house for so long and likewise her prescence in a leadership capacity will be missed. I want to publicly thank her as well for striving to make House Odan-Urr feel like home (it is a house afterall right?) and a success. She has served as RM and Battleteam leader and like Ji, needs some R&R so she can better serve the house. With that said, the Battleteam Leader announcement is in the sections below, but keep reading my rant because its important, ok?

The short fiction segment above is a preview/ portion of the lead-up to the next major fiction installment that is coming up following the end of the Bastions Of Knowledge Run-On. Fictionally things are going to get exciting for the Knights Of Urr but in order for it to do so we’re gonna need crazy participation.

So let’s not lull, because we’re all guilty of it right now, I know, school is over, work schedules are getting a little tighter but this is meant to be fun and a retreat from the humdrum of RL. Again, like I said in another report of mine, if you’re not having fun I want to hear about it. Just because I’m QUA doesn’t mean I control everything, this is more your guys’ house than it is mine so what you guys want to do matters just as much as to what the summit wants to do (even though we technically can/will make final decision on most shit)

Important Shtuff:

1- Run-On: The Bastions Of Knowledge Run-On is still up and running, we haven’t exactly pulled it off to a running start as everyones story is kinda spreading in different directions. The Run-On is relatively open-ended but the time for cohesion is upon us, if you need some direction just hop onto my posts and the objectives posts for hints and roadsigns.

2- HOU Discussion: The House Discussion topic is up and in your inboxes, feel free to join if you haven’t or continue the conversation if you have, theres been some really great points and opinions expressed. The current topic is “George Lucas’ Retirement”. The first topic closes tonight so theres still time to get in there and earn yourself a Dark Cross.

3- Battleteam Leader: We’re pretty excited to have gotten plenty of response form those interested, ultimately we can only choose one person blah blah blah you know the drill. It breaks my crutches to turn everyone else down but ultimately we chose Caleb to lead the Lightwalkers. We’re looking forward to the development and evolution of this dynamic team and yadda yadda, lets have fun. Good luck Caleb, the eyes of Odan are on you so no pressure ok.

4- Wiki Team: Members are still needed to help out with the wiki articles, your efforts will not go unrewarded considering your output and teamwork

5- Top Secret: Mwahaha. Outro- Congrats to Lu and Moro on their promos, you guys deserved them. Do some competitions and expect a few more in the days to come. Please please please participate in the run-on and make this interim storyline some badass canon, grats to Caleb on BTL. Krandon, good luck on your engagement and send us some pictures man :D
