Elleron sighed as he closed down a final report from the recent outbreak of plague. There had not been much need for a Rollmaster lately, since every apprentice was more powerful and short-lived than ever before. The boy reached for a glass of vreska, a dark and bitter liquor that had been a favourite of Denath's, and waved the screen across to his latest messages, including one from the Headmaster. A few more Jedi from the Shadow Academy could be on the way soon now that the quarantine was at an end.

As the new Rollmaster of House Odan-Urr, he had a lot to take in. While Denath had been a mighty warrior and ruler in the history of ancient and contemporary Arcona, Elleron's personal leadership experience was lacking. Ultimately, however, the role was about guidance; this, he told himself, was where he should focus his efforts.

The boy went to scroll through a few more messages, but instead bumped the delete key accidentally. He switched over to the deleted items screen and recovered the message. He then noticed that one of the deleted messages had been addressed to Denath. Having no memory of this, he opened the message.

Bright red lights began flashing on the console as a bizarre password entry screen appeared...

Rollmaster Report

I've been appointed as the new Rollmaster of House Odan-Urr, following Morotheri's elevation to Aedile. I have a long history of serving as Consul, Quaestor and Tetrarch through my career in the Brotherhood, but have never been a Rollmaster before. Should be interesting.

I am a little bit old-fashioned and will be doing some of my own kind of thing with the position, and am still putting together a few of my ideas, like plans for competitions, contributions to story arcs for me and the House, and learning how to use all the amazing, new and special features of the website, like Login.

My main focus will be on ensuring the newer members of the House has someone to speak with when they need help, and ensuring everyone has someone to help guide them in whatever path they are walking in our House. I will also be assisting with competitions and other things I take an interest in. Therefore, I may randomly host competitions, spam people with emails, have honest heart to heart text messages or spend a few minutes in a drunken stupor wondering why everyone is trying to get my attention before remembering I'm the Rollmaster.

Not necessarily in that order.

IRC I'm not a big fan of due to the time zone difference (UTC+11), but I'm looking at my current schedule to determine if I can reliably commit to a few specific hours a week (possibly Thursday or Friday nights EST).

Rollmaster Competitions

Rollmaster Sudoku 1: running until 11th November.

While going through his messages, Elleron has discovered fragments of a deleted message that was sent to his counterpart, Denath, from an unknown source. Upon trying to access these fragments, a bizarre password input screen has appeared. Not only does the system ask for a key word, which appears to be composed of the letters of the password itself, but it also requires the letters to be entered in the correct positions on the screen.

Identify the key word and solve the password.
