It's been a bit since you've seen an Aedile report, and I do apologize for that. Time to step away from my Black Ops 2 addiction and bring you a piece of unadulterated news!

Taldryan Recruits1

First off, I'd like to give a warm welcome to Taldryan's newest recruits! Join me in congratulating the following members on joining Taldryan's ranks, and earning their respective promotions: Apprentice Karvem, who joined us last week from the Shadow Academy. Welcome, APP Karvem! Protector Mirus Cavataio, who joined us roughly three weeks ago. As you can see, he has been a busy bee in earning his promotion from APP to PRT within the first week, and passing an impressive 19+ Shadow Academy exams which has thus far secured him the Dark Maven of Combat. Welcome, and well done! Novice Crona, who joined us at the beggining of October, and has earned himself a promotion to Novice! Welcome to Taldryan! Being a part of Taldryan, I hope you all find the comfort of a tightly-knit group within this fantastic Star Wars fan club! I urge you all to explore this club, grow in the many friendships that can be found here, and enjoy the many facets of fun that make up the DB!

Horizons

Now, in regards to the Vendetta! Yup, Horizons is over (fwew), and we have a few awards to hand out! First off, I'd like to start by thanking these following members for putting an effort into participating in the latest Vendetta: Keirdagh Taldrya Cantor Shadow Taldrya Aeson Rhys Benevolent Taldrya Whiner Chaosrain Taldrya Kazmir Natas Carissus Retden And of course, our humble QUA, Rian Aslar

Although this is a very, very small turnout for an event like this - even for Taldryan - I am happy that some of you newer, middle-aged and older guys all got a piece of the cake! I do realize that the storyline was unappealing for some, if not even intimidating for those members who don't know much about the DB's past; but I do hope this has given you a small taste as to what to expect in future events. I'm storyline will be a bit more appealing to the masses next time. ;)

Merit Medals

Now, for the awards! There is still one big award awaiting approval, but at the moment, this is what we have. Congrats to the following on your Merit Medals: Dark Jedi Master Keirdagh "Yacks" Taldrya Cantor was awarded a Dark Cross for his efforts in Horizons. Woot! Guardian Carissus was awarded a Dark Cross for competing in Horizons as well. And finally, I myself, Sid, snagged a healthy Dark Cross for the road. And by the road, I mean the road to pwnage. Congrats guys on your shinnies. To the rest of you: Keep your eyes out for an email from me regarding that big award to a certain member I was talking about.

Seals of Loyalty

To sum up the rest of the awards for this report, I'll finish with the awarding of the Seals of Loyalty. These Seals are awarded twice a year on the Day of the Fox and Exodus day, two days that commemorate the Brotherhood's rich history as an online Star Wars club. On each of these days, Seals of Loyalty are awarded to members of the DB that standout amongst the crowd, as true sacrificers (yes, making that a word right now). Members that recieve the Seal of Loyalty are ones who give their everything to this Club, to their Units, and to their friends in the DB to make sure it keeps up and running, and remains FUN! Halcyon Resigns

In case you missed the whole hub-bub on the mailing list (sorry for sending out a second email, Vodo =P) or on the DB News Page: Halcyon Taldrya has resigned suddenly from the position of Deputy Grand Master. This position is a cruicial position for the DB, and should be filled with someone who is active and gets things done consistently. Halc, having realing he would not be able to uphold his incredibly high-amount of activity in the near future resigned before things got slowed down. Thanks for your service, Halc, and thanks for representing Taldryan as DGM better than any of us could! So, with Halc stepping down, the position of DGM is now open! Keep your eyes peeled for updates on the matter! (Edit: Halc has been awarded a Silver Sash! This award is always reserved for Exodus day, once a year, but Halc has proved his vigor and outstanding membership, Muz has broke tradition and awarded our Darth Bias with one of the most coveted awards the DB has to offer.)

** New BT on the Horizon?**

Alright folks, I won't delve too much into this, other than what the title says. I just couldn't wait to share a little something with you all. So, I'd like to inform everyone that Rian and I recieved a BT proposal from a Taldryan member respectively. Now I know that may not mean much to some of you newer guys, but as most of you may know: Tal hasn't had a BT for a few months now. As part of a decision I made torecoup our forces, I closed down Battleteam Phoenix while Quaestor a handful of months ago. With that, we've had the notion to get a new BT going, should the members of Taldryan be up to the task. As you can imagine, I was very excited when I saw a proposal in my inbox a few days ago. I won't say anymore, other than that I'm excited and happy to see some movement in the lower ranks yet again!

Secret Tal Project?

I have been dabbling with a particular idea over the past couple of weeks, and I finally put together a very basic, very simplistic "idea" for a new fiction enviorment within Taldryan. As it stands, we are looking at a bare-skeleton of an idea, but hopefully I can begin to put some meat and muscle on this bad boy, in which I can begin to show the lot of you what I have in store! All I can say right now is that you guys better be ready to get your hands dirty. ;)

Taldryan Wiki Revamp Team

As of right now, there is a substantial Wiki-team going on within Taldryan, which are working on revamping Taldryan's domain on the Wiki. We've not had an update like this in a long, long time. As such, there is a lot of work to go into this, and it will take some skill to do. Thankfully, the roster that is working on the Wiki Project are all strong and up to the challenge! If anyone else is interested, shoot the Taldryan Summmit (Rian and I) a quick email or PM on IRC, and we'll see what we can do to get you inserted on this project.

Baby for the GM's

In other news, our beloved Grand Master Muz and his loverly Wife Ashia (Former Tal AED) have a new addition to their RL familly! I am very excited for those two, and for all of the members who are personally close to the Keibatsu family. Baby-Muz has been a long time coming, and even though we are a fictional club, we also are a club of close-online friends. With that, I want to congratulate Ash and Muz on their baby, and we hope you both get the rest and vigor you need in the upcoming months of this new-borns life!

Lastly: It is good to be in the AED spot again. I loved being QUA, I loved being AED back in the day, as well as RM. Truth of the matter is; I love each position uniquely, and although AED doesn't have quite the same pull as a QUA, it certainly has a different scope of what can be done in this position. I am loving it, just as I loved it in the past. Should the day that I am eligable to take up the mantle of a QUA in Tal (Or maybe even CON/PCON, two positions I have yet to fill), I will indeed take it! As of right now, Rian is doing a fantastic job as Quaestor of Taldryan, and it certainly is awesome to be working with such a unique and amazing member as he. We are a good team, and I feel we compliment each other in more ways than one. Being your Aedile takes more than just running competitions or sending out emails: it takes dedication to helping you guys grow and have fun. Thanks for having me as your AED!
