So, here’s another Quaestor report from me, Sang the man. Looking through the report archives, I noticed that my last report was in August…five months ago. Now that’s pretty atrocious of me and I apologise for that. I’m sure you all enjoy reading my reports anyway so I shouldn’t deprive you of that pleasure.

Over the last few months, Arcona has been embroiled in a number of events, Feuds and Vendettas. It’s been pretty much non-stop for the Shadow Clan and December has been no holiday what with the Arcona – Plagueis feud occurring. Having seen the participation lists, it’s fantastic to see so many Galereans involved in the Feud, 12 of the 26 Arconans were Galerean. I’d just like to congratulate you all on a job well done and I’m proud to be your Quaestor. 12 months ago, the House was struggling to generate activity and to see where we are now is amazing.

I plan to do a recap on 2012 and look back on what we’ve done and achieved.

So, we’ve recently seen Ronovi step down as Headmaster to be replaced by Solari. Solari has plans to modernise the Shadow Academy and change the way it operates. I’m interested to see how this turns out, especially in regards to the Grind Path and increased relevance after members get DJK.

We’ve also seen Vodo step down as VOICE to be replaced by one of our own; Sarin. Sarin has plans to kill off loads of people or something, so look forward to that.

Dash has also stepped down as Combat Master quite recently. If you think you can handle the job and want to step up to the plate, check out the requirements on the main page and send in an application.

Herald Style Hanukkah is also on-going. We’re currently on Day 7 of the goodies and some of them so far have been nothing short of fantastic. I especially like those ‘Brutal’ robes available to EQ2s. I liked them so much that I got a set.

We also have HSP looking for a new Aedile and Rollmaster, so if you feel like you don’t love me anymore and want to move there, go apply because they extended the apps due to having no decent applicants.

Clan News

So, the recent Feud between Arcona and Plagueis ended with Arcona standing victorious. As I mentioned earlier, a large number of Galereans participated and I’m proud of you all.

We also had our Consul, Wuntila, promoted to Equite 4 not so long ago.

Wiki work is currently underway on the Arconan OoB with several members being involved in that project. I’ve seen some of their work so far and it is fantastic. I look forward to seeing the finished product.

_ House News_

Galeres also has wiki projects running, with 9 members currently working on 3 separate items. Some of them are working on Galeres’ own wiki page, expanding on the history and lore of the House. Another team is working on SCEPTER, Galeres’ cover organisation and the last team is working on our BAC, Darkest Night. Expanding the page and creating more NPCs for the crew.

All three of those pages were woefully out of date and in need of updating and expanding. I’m pleased to see that progress has been made on them, currently all stored on gdocs before I allow it up on the wiki. But you should see some changes on them in the near future. It has been slowed down a little bit due to it being the Christmas period.

Since my last report, we have had three new additions to the summit: Cethgus as Aedile, Etah as BTL of Shadow Cell and lastly Valhavoc as BTL of Dark Forge.

Dark Forge is a new addition to Galeres in the form of a Battleteam and it has started off well, with 5 out of 6 members participating in the recent feud. Valhavoc has done a good job of creating the team and encouraging member participation.

Etah has also updated Spectre Cell’s wiki page, developing it slightly and is currently looking for new members. If you’re interested in being in a Battleteam, just hit one of your House Summit up on irc or via email and we’ll sort you out.

Closing thoughts

Galeres has come a long way since December 2011 when we were struggling activity-wise. Since then, we have come on leaps and bounds to close the gap between Qel-Droma and Galeres in terms of activity. I’ll say this now that it isn’t a competition, but it is nice to see your House prosper. When I first came to Arcona, I started off as Aedile of HQD. But I soon made my way across to Galeres as Quaestor. However, rl flared up and I left. I was given the chance two years later to return to Galeres as Aedile and I was honoured to do so. I’ve been Quaestor now for almost 12 months and I can’t wait to hit the 12 month mark.

So on the 1st February, I expect a load of presents in the post to congratulate me for 12 months of being QUA. I must say that it hasn’t been me who has made Galeres active again, but you…the members. You have stepped up to the plate, time and time again. So here and now, thank you for all that you’ve done over the past 12 months.

I also want to apologise for the lack of competitions on the House level and I will endeavour to change that in the New Year, so that’s all for now. Have a good New Year’s and I’ll see you around!
