God, I love that quote. Less than a month ago we came together as a group and decided on what we would be known as, the Knights of Allusis (or KoA). Admittedly, everyone had came up with some cool names and I would like to thank each of you for being involved in the decision - it really was a team effort and its something I hope we continue to do in the future.

For those reading this report and not sure who Belth Athusis is: He was a Human male Jedi Master and a prominent member of the Jedi High Council, who was active during the Great Galactic War between the Galactic Republic and the resurgent Sith Empire. In 3,671 BBY, Allusis was in charge of the Republic troops that defended the planet Bothawui against the overwhelming Sith forces. Although all of the Republic defenders, including Allusis, were killed, they managed to inflict heavy casualties upon the Sith, forcing them to retreat. To find out more, look here.

Reporting & Schedule Why are reports important? Because they provide critical information, establish a link between members and the reporting individual, set examples for involvement in the unit, and provide a record to be accountable towards. These are my reasons for creating a report. I may be a little dated in the fact that I believe a regular report cycle should be weeks, not months. However, I also believe that not everything should be limited to a report and the information should be released as it's relevant. What this means for the Battleteam is that I'm going to have a report schedule of every three weeks. In between reports, you will continue to receive info from me either on the HOU mailing list or the KoA mailing list - just like you see know with my emails to the HOU list.

Unfortunately, we weren't able to hammer out our role in the house yet before the Dark Crusades started so I wasn't comfortable doing this yet. We need to develop a founding fiction, and since we started before the Dark Crusades it can't involve that. Furthermore, this isn't my battleteam; its our battleteam. I won't be doing this fictional updates just myself, but more can be found on that in the projects section.

The Dark Crusades Tomorrow is the last day for Phase 1 submissions for the Dark Crusade. Earlier I sent out a tips and tricks email breaking down each event and a few suggestions I feel are important, I hope you guys find some good use to it if you haven't submitted everything yet.

For KoA, the Dark Crusades is going to be an important point of development for us. It makes sense that since it happened directly after we formed as a group that we use it to some piece of our overall story. While we are certainly going to be doing our own thing in the off periods, I do ask that you guys keep this in mind because you guys are going to be writing this battleteam's story just as much as I am.

That said there are a couple things I would suggest you guys keep in mind over the course of this year: *Use your teammates, both in story and out of it. Feel free to put each of us in your stories, just respect everyone's character. And don't be afraid to ask each other for help. *Make sure you CC me on any submissions to send in, this way I can properly track what everyone is doing and make sure you are awarded *Use the group mailing list for conversations, you guys asked for it for this reason so please know that I'm not going to be restricting its use. Its a good place for us to plan out our stories. *Don't be afraid to use people outside of the BT, we aren't an elite team. I'm working on a story for example that uses both BTs, its necessary for the goal Im setting out and it makes good story plots. *Lastly, nothing about the BT is set in stone. If you write something and it becomes DB canon, we can happily make it fit for the BT fiction. Don't see the BT as a limitation is the point of all this, use it for its benefits (the people, the characters, the story options)

Acknowledgements Rangel: Since the forming of this BT, Rangel has done a ton of work. From getting promoted twice, to offering up his assistance to house and BT projects, and starting discussions on the house mailing list; he's been doing excellent work for the BT and house as a whole. Thanks buddy!

Kaira: If she isn't working on projects on her own, she's helping others. Between all this and being a busy mom, I don't think anyone can ask for more but she still does so. Keep up the great work, Kaira!

Revak: First to answer any call for help, Revak was also great help in figuring out our BT name. Thanks Revak for what you have done so far, I know there is more coming :)

Projects Knights of Allusis Archives: As I mentioned above about the fictional development of our Battleteam, this project will be a priority for us in the down periods from the Dark Crusades. I will be looking into where we can host these (website, forums, etc) but these will be the official fictional updates about our team. Starting with our founding, it is my hope that as a team we will work on developing this story so everyone is properly included. Expect an individual announcement about the start of this project after Phase 1 has finished.

Motto: We may have a killer name, a sick hero to call our own, and a common trait to connect us (my belief in the unifying force) but we are missing a motto. Again, starting saturday expect an individual announcement on this.

Wiki: We need proper representation, this isn't complete without a wiki. This will be an upcoming project after immediate proirities.
