Hello, good evening, good day, guten nacht, guten tag, [various other greetings removed for space requirements]. Welcome to my report! This is kinda a crash course in how we did in the first round of the Dark Crusade. While it was a strong showing, it wasn't strong enough. The blame for that falls with the Summit just as much as with you the people, and that vicious spawn of Evil known as "Real Life".

I'm not going to beat anyone over the head, but I will discuss what we can do to do better.

We have the results of the Dark Crusade out. We placed in multiple competitions, but the participation ratio (the percentage not the flat number) was nearly doubled by the first place competitor. That seems pretty harsh, and that is because it is. What can we do to better that in the future?

Easy.

If we want to double our participation numbers, as it stands, it would require a measly 23 of us to go all in on the competitions. Even if we know we aren't going to place, it counts towards the grand total of participation. There are ~70 of us... asking for 23 of you (ourselves included) to merely participate in all comps shouldn't be too much.

Graphics should have a 100% submission for our Clan, why? Because this is all you need to do to get a participation point:

Make an easily identifiable image.

What does that mean? If the competition asks for a "holocron" like this last one... Send them a cube with markings on it. You aren't going to place (I'd prefer you tried to place :p) but it is quite obviously on task with what was asked for, and look at that!!! You just scored participation!

There is no excuse not to do that... That takes 5 minutes max. If you need help understanding what is being asked of you, do not ever hesitate to ask. Doesn't even have to be us, ask a clanmate and you will get hooked up! It is really that simple.

The other big participation grabber that should have been easily handled was the Shadow Academy exam. Don't even think of these as competitions, you are about to get some knowledge dropped on you and that is fun! Did I know about Cryptology going in? Yes, absolutely, but it was still really cool to see something new. I know people who knew nothing about it that thought it was so cool that we had that!

So what if you don't think you are going to place, participation is what matters!

There are none... Because in a week we shall begin the next round!!! YEAH!!!!!

To better facilitate that round, we have worked in some systems to help with that. First up is the buddy system!!! This thing is cool, it lets us as summit track who is working with who to get things done and it gives you a chance to compete with friends.

We did well guys, 2nd place on our planet. We can do better.

That is all I need to say, nothing more or less. We have the people, we have the numbers, we just need the activity. Let us work together on this one.

I know competitions are not everyone's idea of "fun" but we can make this fun, by working together. Let's start some friendly competitions to see who can place in more comps! Have some fun with friends, or make some new ones.

Also, we will be providing a form for you to mark off whenever you submit to a competition. This will help with two things:

1) We get to see how much you all are participating. 2) You get to secure your place in the soon-to-be-released Black Guard remake! It would have been in this report, but we don't have fair participation information for everyone and I want this fair.
