As some of you know, I've been away for the past couple of weeks to get married, and left Ernordeth running the place. He did a tremendous job while I was gone, and I am very grateful for his and Dranik's work in my absence. I am pleased to report that I am now successfully married and back home safe and sound!

My homecoming is bittersweet, however, because one of the first things I had to deal with when I got home was that Ernordeth had applied for a job as Quaestor of House Qel-Droma over in Clan Arcona. Due to a typo and me being out of the country, this all came as a rather large surprise to me. I am sad to lose a good friend, an incredible Aedile, and a powerhouse of a Tarenti but I am ecstatic to see Ernordeth's DB career continue to flourish. I have no doubt he will be an amazing Quaestor, and I don't think he'll be a stranger in #tarentum either. We're already starting to plan some joint activities between the two Houses, in fact.

Ernordeth's promotion leaves us with a critical vacancy in Tarentum's House Summit. Aedile is the second in command of the House. Our Summit divides all duties between all three Summit positions, so this is a great opportunity to learn all the details of how to effectively run a House in the Dark Brotherhood. Just to list a few things, the Aedile runs competitions, monitors activity and advancement, helps to administrate the Master/Student Program, welcomes new members, is involved in creating House fiction and most importantly gets to run the House if I'm on LoA.

You don't have to have prior leadership experience to get this position. Right now Tarentum needs to build a core of members with real leadership skills who can carry on effectively after me and on into the future. There's no better way to learn than to actually do it. You do need to have crystal clear communication skills, a general understanding of House Tarentum and what its current situation is, and you need to show me why I need to pick you instead of someone else.
