For some years, we have had a need, one relatively underserved by volunteers and halfhearted attempts. We've focused on other things, thinking that they would be more important, and ignored the failures and diminishing returns from not taking this need seriously.

Today, that stops.

I am putting out a call for a new Tribune.

The responisibilities of this position will seem easy at first, but they are far from that in reality. This person will be responsible for the wrangling of our social media accounts, for the creation and activity therein. To keep things up to date on a more than occassional basis. They will use these methods for what they rightly are: a viable recruitment tool. They will filter out all manner of our news and get our flavor out into the mouths of the masses that will no doubt be hungry for more Star Wars. They will take advantage of the upcoming films, of the upcoming video games, of the pop culture references and own them for us. They'll have a staff to work with them to ferret out these tidbits, and they will have the backing of our Dark Council to write articles to help draw readers into our deep web of lore and history. They will set things up so that the tradition carries on past their involvement, so that we can continue to use these assets to make sure that the Brotherhood carries on into the next decade without fail.

We're tentatively calling it Tribune: Recruitment. Fictionally, this person would work with the Dark Council and seek out new members in the Core worlds. It's a new position, so much is up to the first few people to hold the position. Yet we need dedication to the cause, and someone who can do this for some time without burning out and setting us back to where we started in the process.
