Report time once more with lots of important things you should be aware of.

BTL Position open for Application

This week Taldryan saw two knightings of two very fine members. One of them was Miranda Goto, Leader of the Wardens Battle team. Miranda has done an amazing job as BTL but there always comes a time where things need to evolve, where new ideas and plans need to be given a chance. During the recent 6 month, Miranda has seen the Wardens going through hard times coming both from RL and the DB and she did all she was able to hold them together. On behalf of Taldryan, thank you Miranda for what you have done so far.

With that being said, I am opening the position of Battle team leader for a six month term. And here are the requirements!

  • High Availability: Through email, IRC, Google+, whatever. Your members need to find you accessible.
  • High Approachability: Ensure that you're welcoming questions, and inviting opinions from your members.
  • High Activity: Being active in the Dark Brotherhood is quite simply the most important aspect any leader in the DB can have. We are in the end, all in this together, and you should never be requesting of your members something you are unwilling to do yourself.

Further as BTL you will be expected to:

  • Send Bi-Weekly Reports to the House Leadership on the progress of your members, any activities they have participated in in the last two week period, and upcoming events you have planned, anything that helps the Leadership know a bit more about what you and your members are up to.
  • Send Bi-Weekly updates to your Battle Team including reports and news that you think your Battle Team needs to know in order to be kept active and engaged.
  • Assist in Tracking Prometheus Requirements and Awards Tracking, making usage of both the Dark Brotherhood's Promotheus system and the internal ATR (Google Drive sheet) As a leader you need to be aware of the progress your members are making. You should be helping the House Leadership to reward your members for their good work.
  • Organize and run Competitions for your members. Encourage activity in your own, and other competitions.
  • Aid the House Leadership in any way you can. This is meant to be as vague as it sounds. As a Leader in Taldryan, you need to be willing and able to take the initiative.
  • Help maintain your Battle Team's mailing list, and help welcome new members to Taldryan. And your Battle team

I am not looking for a superhuman, but I do want someone with very strong ideas, morals, and is willing to work with a strong ethic. This is not the time to play or beat around the bush. You will be actively helping to shape the future of Taldryan, by taking a hand in the training of our members, thus I will not give such responsibility or the position away lightly. If there are any questions, by all means either tag me on IRC, or shoot me an email. I’d love to hear from anyone who’s interested in this position. Voting has been done and our dear Talon Drear will be featured in the next 'Get to know a Tally' episode.

Dark Crusades:

We have fought and laughted, we have spent tears and nerves giving our best to for it and soon for one more time the Dark Crusade will return. So everyone, brace yourself as Nov. 8 th has been marked as the starting of Dark Crusade Phase 3! Of course we as your Summit will give you as much information as possible, that for stay tuned for updates flooding your inbox.

Once more some sort of a long report, especially since its been only two weeks since my last report. But before I finally come to an end, I would like to say something personally to anyone willing or considering to apply for BTL, take the chance, BTL though only the lowest step on the ladder of leadership is still a position of high responsibility. Also for those who have never applied to a position but would like to do so now, this is the link to the application that first got me BTL of the Phoenix Phyle. Don't get me wrong, neither is this the ultimative application nor the kind of application I want to see from you, but it may give you a starting point, remember originality is the key. Alright, that's it, enjoy the rest of your weekend and maybe we see each other on IRC, just say 'hello' and see what happens.
