Ladies and gentlemen of House Marka Ragnos, greetings! My name is Vaar Mai and it is my great pleasure to introduce myself as your new Aedile. Most of you guys already know me for my work as Scepter of Ragnos' Battleteam Sergeant, my tenure as Quaestor some months prior and my work with House Shar Dakhan as Tenebrae's Battleteam Leader. For those who don't, I look forward to getting to know you in the coming months. Nyine has stepped down as Aedile and Teu has asked me to step up given my current work with the Clan Summit to fill a much-needed role quickly. I'd like to thank Teu for giving me this chance (and putting up with me on a daily basis, the saint that she is) and thank you guys in advance for being great.

My general plan as Aedile is to work with you guys, the people, to bring you the stuff that you want to see. News, results. Things that make your day-to-day experience as part of the best damn Clan in all of the Brotherhood a more fun and fulfilling one. I'm going to endeavour to bring out weekly reports as a digest of running events and current happenings. We've just finished the Dark Crusade on a fairly high note, if early indications are accurate, so I'd love to maintain that momentum and do some things that are good fun, get our Clan and House rolling back on track after that rather long and arduous trial by fire.

That said, guys, congratulations from me. We've all done really well: we stayed the course, we looked after each other, and despite it all we managed to pitch in and kick some serious ass with some great placements through every phase of the Crusade. Nobody can ask for better than what we've achieved, and you have my thanks for being here and pictching in.

Anyway, less melodrama, more action, right? Let's get to it!

Current Competitions!

Right now we've only got a small handful of competitions running given that the Crusade's events are over. What we do have, however, are some DB-wide gaming competitions that you may be interested in:

• GMRG November Gorefest - Can you win the most PVP matches this weekend? There's only a few hours left, so get your entries in now!
• Star Wars Angry Birds - Play this quick and easy mobile game, submit your score, and get an easy five CFs - and a chance at some third-level Crescents!

We also have the two fantasy football leagues running at the moment; Wally's American Football League and Yacks' English Premier League are both going, so if you're interested in fantasy football, definitely get involved with that.

Look out for more competitions in future that should cater to your every whim and fancy.

Promotions and Awards!

This week we don't have any promotions or awards that haven't been talked about in Teu's report (as of this time sitting on the House and Clan mailers due to last night's site outage). I'll get to regular reporting of awards and promotions on a weekly basis.

Current Events!

Sadow News Network!

This section is for anything coming up Clan-wise that you guys need to know from your hard-hitting action reporter! You guys remember that Crusade video Atra and I did, right? Well, if all goes well, I'm going to try and get something like that going again. Unfortunately, right now I am poor and the only microphone I own cuts out more often than not. Hopefully by new year I'm going to be able to do something like that regularly. Stay tuned!

For those who have been with CNS long enough, you may know the phrase 'Clan Artisans'. If not, it's a way for the Clan to better flesh out our fictional direction. We'll have some upcoming competitions to work on our new direction, so watch this space for further information about that as it comes out.

Weekly IRC trivia will be making a return as soon as my schedule settles down. It was hugely successful last time and I don't see a reason to stop doing it, so if you'd like to get some quick and easy awards by answering some Google-able questions on the trivia of the week, jump into IRC! (Also, shameless general 'jump into IRC' plug, it's amazing and our channel is the bomb.)

Marka Ragnos' battleteam, Scepter of Ragnos, is looking for a few good people to jump in ad show some activity. Maelous and I will be working together to make the experience of being a battleteam member a great one.

I won't lie, I like doing report fiction, but I also know that too much report fiction gets to be a headache. Got an idea as to how I should handle doing report fiction? Hit me up and we'll write some awesome stuff. My email inbox is always open.

In Closing

I'll be frank: I'm going to be chasing after Nyine's fairly active career and it won't be an easy task. My style's a little different, but I am two hundred percent dedicated to bringing the House consistent content updates and making sure you're all in the know.
