Today is Cyber Monday. It's an important day for the internet. It therefore is an important day for me.

You must understand; I live in the middle of buttf*ck-no-where County, ten kilometres from Whothehellcares. To do anything there is a commute of at least an hour through endless seas of cow pastures and cornfields, just to get to the semi-civilized strip mall of Stratford, Ontario (yes...that Stratford, you beliebers [sic]). And I truly didn't understand how repressed I was until I went away to university. However, I'm back in Buttf*ck County and my only lifeline to the good life comes through my internet connection.

So every year I try to get this damn day booked off so I can take advantage of those sales and OMFG-Yes! Free shipping. But today, I had to work. What good it does them, considering I told them youth aren't willing to come to a job fair at 7am on a Monday morning...jeez. So while I sit at this booth in Stratford again, my internet connection has delivered gaming goodness to my hands with cheap details on steam and such. It also now delivers this report on company's time.

I'm such a rebel, I know. ;)

Dark Crusades:

Let's rip this off like a bandaid.

Last round ended, it was judged incredibly fast, and.....we lost. No crying over spilt milk unless it got in your eye. You all saw Muz's report and Scion's email, so yeah we did fail to take a single planet. Likewise, we didn't break 1.00 participation like we aimed for. It sucks, but so do hookers. It's all a matter of perspective. Several of you did incredibly well, others mustered in last minute submissions to get counted, and we even had Hades transfer back in last minute to knock out 2 submissions for us. And you know what? This past phase doubled what we did in the first phase. So as I said, it's all a matter of perspective.

Survey:

Scion & I like hearing from you guys, let's us know we aren't just screaming into a vacuum (...another thing that sucks). Furthermore, we want to get you guys involved in planning out future events and stories. How? Well, thankfully the power of google exists. Click here to magically be taken away to the survey form. Shadow Academy Society

SAS has invaded the DB! Nope, not those black-clad enforcers of Margaret Thatcher. We have a new society in the DB. While there was confusion, some frustration, and even some resentment for the program at the start; none of this is new for anything to launch in the DB. We now have an understanding of how to unlock stuff, you also will get an email letting you know why you have earned something, and there exists a nice thread here that explains some of these things and even what you can earn. Thanks SA team!

You've been assigned

Another thing you may have noticed this weekend, every member of Tarentum has been assigned to a Battleteam. This isn't a new concept, things like this have been tried before. However, after some conversations on the Dark Summit about Rollmasters and some internal conversation amongst the Tarentum summit; we decided to go ahead and NOT hire a Rollmaster. The duties has been split across the summit, as they always have been really, but the main difference is everyone now touches down with a BTL and remains in a BT unless they are QUA/AED. As Scion explained in his explain, you can kinda think of this like the old EH days if you are that old. Everyone has a Squadron to report to under a wing, under ship, blah blah. Anyone who didn't email us was randomly assigned. If you wish to change, please let me know. As for new members coming in the site has them making contact with me first and I'll introduce them to the house before assigning them to whatever BT has lowest numbers. Questions, Comments, Concerns; send them to Scion & I.

A Request

No fiction this time, lads and ladies. However, I am looking for someone to take on a Run-on project for the summit. Tarentum is heavy with run-ons, but they aren't summarized despite being connected. I've been going through page after page of run-ons getting ready for the new year but I can't expect everyone to do this. Therefore, I am looking for 1 person, who is looking to stand out and get some recognition; to go through these run-ons and make some simple wiki pages of them.
