So much to report, so little time! First off, a gigantic congratulations to the newly-crowned Methyas Sadow. Our Rollmaster was just named a Son and, frankly, is probably the most deserving person I know. What he does for the Clan is very understated and his ability to be around no matter what has earned him a place amongst the figures of our Clan's legend. Congrats again, Methyas - thank you for all your hard work and dedication. It's certainly paid off!
This week is going to be a fairly short report as it's been a rather quiet week on the Clan front thanks to the holiday season, other than the aforementioned huge announcement. There are some things on the horizon, for sure, but those belong in reports far greater than mine and so I will not mention them because someone wants more things in their report. Let's go!
So the Cthulhu is with Syntari and Macron, with only a handful of entries. It came down to time, however, so it was indeed a very close race this week. Well done, guys! I am still taking suggestions for trivia themes, which I would love to see more of.
I'm keeping the competition format I used. It's great. Let's do it.
Gaming: Monthly Mobile Gaming: Hungry Santa, Monthly Mobile Gaming: Racing Santa, Ghost of Christmas Present, Ghost of Christmas Past, Do you feel Lucky?, PvP Domination
Fiction: ACC: Create a Venue, Job Search!, Consul's Black Guard
Graphics: Oh Sithmas Tree
Other: Disorderly Conduct, Your Sithmas list, Twitter Blitz: Battlefront Expectations, Ultimate You, The Battle of the Bakers
Vaar Mai: Crescent with Sapphire Star
One Crescent is it. Yep. This is something I want to change. Therefore, I challenge all of you to earn more than one Crescent for next week. Are you a bad enough dude to crush this Aedile? Guess we'll find out! Step up to the plate. Beat me - if you can.
Quick list of happenings this week:
Again, Methyas' promotion to a Son of Sadow is the major news of the week. However, I feel the need to tell you that we've had a Summit meeting recently to discuss the upcoming Clan Artisans and how we're going to implement it. Expect this to begin in the next couple of weeks. We've got big plans - and we've also got a big plan as to how you can contribute to the fictional direction of the Clan, and our Houses. There's a very big way for individual members to get their name in lights and in the annals of history. Expect more on this soon.
I'd like to remind everyone that Black Guard selections are still happening! Malik's Guard entry is almost over, and Teu and Mirado will be selecting theirs shortly. If you'd like to get in on Summit meetings and fiction, get yourself entered and in with a chance. The learning experience, and the opportunity, is like nothing else. Speaking as someone who's been a Black Guard myself, I can honestly say it's helped me get to where I am thanks to the exposure to how our Summit works. You should definitely, definitely get in on this if you're interested in leadership, or if you're interested in helping the Clan and the Houses out.
I'd like to take the time to talk about someone who's rather understated and has considerable history with the House. Most of you may know him. Meet Jeric Cyrin, fellow Quaestor Emeritus of House Marka Ragnos. He's a great guy - knowledgeable, pretty easy to get along with. As usual, let's start by checking out his ID line - he's on the Appeals Panel. Actually, Jeric's played a pretty big role in the Chamber of Justice - he was Right Hand of Justice! He's also been both Magistrate and Praetor to the Herald and has some extremely nice dossier shinies (that warbanner and that saber. Maaaan am I jealous.) I could talk about his six billion medals, but his ID line (which is massive) does that for me. You should check it, and all his graphics, out.
Lately Jeric's been getting right into the Shadow Academy. He's been kicking its butt, actually, if all things are equal. By the looks of it, Jeric's going for his Dark Sage of Law, which would be super-awesome and would put him in the rare few that have one. I'd love to see that. He's pretty active on the mailer, so if you see him, don't forget to say hello! He's probably got some tips on anything Brotherhood-related you could possibly think of.
So, Jeric, I think you're really super great. Thank you for being a part of the House! You're an awesome guy and I'm thankful you're here with us.
Well, it's been a quiet week. Next week, and the coming weeks, should be getting crazy. Next week is Christmas, though, and I'll have to get my report done early just so I can make sure it's up and posted for when I need it. Aaaaaaa, so much to do, not enough time. It's okay though! Christmas Eve report for the win. Did you get your Christmas shopping done? No? PANIC IMMEDIATELY. Actually, no, keep calm and carry on shopping. You've got just over a week, which is plenty of time to get a last-minute gift for a loved one, or even do a holiday-themed competition!
This year's flown by so fast. Expect some fun reports for the next two weeks, guys, as we look back on the year and see just how far we've come.
That's it from me this week. Stay classy, Marka Ragnos.
