The Holiday Bash Continues On

So before I get into the flurry of Orv related news, I'm going to talk about a few Tal things. Sorry Orv, I know you were(n't) anticipating this with heady breaths all night long. Anyways, the Taldryan Holiday Bash is continuing on, and will do so until Christmas Day (December 25th) itself. As we found out on the mailing lists, apparently this little tradition doesn't originate with Rian, but actually to Sid, so I suggest that you take care to remember to mention Sid in your entries.

Additionally, the Rocket Santa Flash Game? By far the most addictive Flash game I've ever done for DB Fun events. Consider yourselves warned!

News from the Wardens

Some big news from the Wardens this week, with a bit of a rebranding starting up. First and foremost is the change of the official team name from "Wardens of Unity" to the more colloquially used "Wardens". Secondly is the selection of the Wardens Official Motto: First to Rise, Last to Fall.

Quejo is also looking for volunteers to help him wiki up some upcoming changes to the Team's wiki page, so if you're interested in lending a hand there, be sure to email him at [Log in to view e-mail addresses]

THE WEEK OF ORRRRVVVV

OK, full disclaimer here, it's not ALL Orv in this, I know for the maybe most visible of these news items, James, our glorious Seneschal also did a crapload of work. But I decided to call this report the week of orrvvv and I'm sticking with it!

What the hell happened to the news page?

Oh, I'll tell you what, it looks bloody awesome now, that's what happened to the news page. As Orv announced, between him and James they have completely rebranded our rather old, and wall of texty news page into something that will be both more visually appealing and welcoming to new members, and just a lot nicer to read.

So... those are some awesome head shots, but where's mine?

Right, so apparently there was a very long discussion yesterday about the use of custom avatars on the website. The functionality of it has been included for a long time now, and nobody really knew what rules were there, or how to get pictures of yourself, or what pictures were valid. So amidst all this confusion, who comes running? That's right, you guessed it. Orv, borking his way to the rescue.

As you can see in his news post here Orv has done a Q&A session style post explaining exactly what's up, what the rules are, etc. So, if you want to get your face all prettily represented in the comments and such on the site and your dossier? Follow the link to his post and you will know all you need to know.

The Fist Gets his Own Section Too!

Not to steal more of Orv's thunder as well, but Val recently released his Fist report, dealing with a lot of the important issues of the day, especially for those of us who partake in a little pazaak or galactic starfighter action now and then. He also mentioned that for GMRG members, this weekend will once again play host to Gorefest which is a great chance for everyone to get a bunch of CFs.

Apparently I also am posting this report almost right after Monty posted something... which is also applicable to Taldryan members should they be so inclined.
